Good morning, fellow players!

Like the title already states, is there a list of where the followers end up when they are disbanded?
I already tried to google it, with no sufficient result.

This especially confusing, as there seem to be variations in those locations.

The reason why I'm asking is the dog, I do want to disband im, because right now it is overpowered in my opinion. But I still want the option to get it back in my team if the need arises. Same for other possible followers.

Thanks in advance.

IIRC, all abandoned followers end up back where you first recruited them... except for Sogg, who heads for the nearest (town with a) bar. Also, if you abandon Chukka for long enough for him to leave, I don't think you can get him back anyway.

So Dog should head back to Ashbury.

The best way to test this: do a full save of the game, abandon Dog, then head to Ashbury and see if he's there. If not, you have the saved game to fall back upon. Worst case scenario: take him directly to the spot where you first rescued and recruited him, and tell him to wait. He should remain there until further notice.

Thanks a lot.

Doesn't matter anyway, at east for the dog. He (she?) is v 12 now, I'm 27. Never iked that mutt anyway, no background story.

:]
This ain't Fallout, so, yes, f*ck that mutt. Should've never stopped that gnome stomping it into red pulp. I would even go as far as to finish his work myself, for roleplaying reasons of course, but Magnus would be bitching around again.

You'd be missing out. Dog can't carry any stuff for you, or equip any weapon other than his own teeth, but he becomes far and away the best-fighting follower in the game, including qualifying for Melee mastery all on his own.

The only thing he stops you from doing is riding trains. No big loss, especially once you have access to Teleportation and/or a boat.
