Just installed the game and also the Unofficial Arcanum Patch 2.0.2 (left Beta Content, Race Mod and some of the Misc Mods unticked). When I created a character, I couldn't use my 5 character points to any of the skills or spells. For example, I had 14 charisma but I couldn't allocate a single point to persuasion. Whenever I clicked 'plus' on the skill or spell, I heard a sound, and text said 'You dont have enough character points'. Under the 'auto-level schemes' was a number 5, which I think should have been my unallocated character points. Has anyone else had this problem, or am I just doing something wrong?

Do you accidentally have an auto-leveling scheme turned on? It sounds like it; and if so, the game will place your points for you, based on which leveling scheme you selected.

Open the character editor, and click on the white box with the lightning bolt symbol in the top right corner. If it doesn't say "No Scheme" at the very top, select No Scheme and assign your CPs as you see fit.

The problem is I have "No Scheme" on. When I encountered the problem, I googled and learnerd about the auto-leveling system, so it's not that. I even tried to select multiple different schemes and started the game, but on my character sheet no skill/spell points were allocated.
