As far as I'm concerned there's no such thing as "abandonware". Number 1, it's in wikipedia. Anything in wikipedia needs to be looked at carefuly, as it's full of errors, mistakes, and false information. And number 2, seriously? We feel the need to declare something abandoned so we can feel good about stealing it? I read one abandonware site that said anything older than four years can be considered abandonware... now that's funny.
The King's Quest series has been for sale for many, many years. It's been re-released many, many times. Even in the past few years before gog.com even existed. Yet, oh, it's still abandonware... yeah, okay, whatever you say. Want more examples of other games? I have plenty.
hellmonster67: This is a grey area...some area's of the world no one gives a rats @1# if you download and use
LinustheBold: There is nothing grey about this. The game is commercial software, sold by consent of the owners, creators, and publishers. You may or may not face consequences if you steal it, but don't kid yourself that it's a grey area. It's illegal, period.
It can be a grey area when the law is concerned. For example, downloading some things here in the U.S. would get me into trouble. Have my ISP disconnect me, and maybe some other things depending on how much I did it. Now if I was in Canada and downloaded the same stuff, nothing would happen as it's legal there.
It's not a grey area when it comes to right and wrong. I'm not interested in dumb politicians, I'm not interested in religion, I'm not interested in people's agenda. There is a right and wrong to things in life, and someone either sees that or they don't.
