Hi DC_vipeout.

After completing the German main (Rudolf I) and secondary (Teutonic Order) campaigns, I noticed that none of the related achievements where unlocked. I also made an observation on the issue.
While trying to find out the cause, I started the first mission of the Teutonic Order campaign (of which I have already completed all five missions), in order to see if the "The Knights of the Cross" achievement would be unlocked.
I reached the conclusion that the only way the achievement could be unlocked, is if the Galaxy Client synchronized, with the cloud, a saved game from that particular mission. It became apparent to me that the reason I missed the German campaigns achievements was because I deleted all the German campaigns saves, before exiting the game, due to them synchronizing very slowly on my connection. If this isn't an intentional design of how the achievements are unlocked, could you take a look at it?

Cheers.

We'll look into it, once I know more I'll reply here.
The achievements are not directly related to the save game files. A call to GOG Galaxy client is issued at the moment you do the thing required for given achievement. You can delete the saved games, they will not change that. However, if you do not have an internet connection, this call is not immediately processed, rather "stored" in the client. Once you connect again, the client will sync and the achievement unlock will properly register with the servers.

There is another case though, and might be yours. If you are playing without the client, then we are responsible for storing the achievement data for later unlock. We store that data in the AncPlayerProfile.sav. That file is in the exact same folder as the saved games. So if you removed all files from the saved games folder, then you removed the profile also, and so the information about those achievements have been lost completely. I can only guess, that this is what happened to you as there is no way of confirming since all files that could tell us anything have been deleted :/

Hi DC_vipeout.

I am using the GOG Galaxy Client (v1.2.56) and I start the game through its user interface. My Internet connection is through cable, and there rarely is an outage. I had deleted all the saved games (everything), while in-game. I suspect that the issue might have been that I had the "Online Features" option disabled, while I encountered this issue. Otherwise it must be a rare coinsidence.

Cheers.

Disabling "Online Features" is like playing without a client from the game's standpoint. That might be it. Since you deleted everything, that's probably the case.
