Yes, that procedure that bansama recommended works fine. Just reload a previous save and the problem should not happen again. I wonder if that problem shows up anywhere else.

I tried to load a few times and switch the location of where I saved, but what finally worked was changing it from windowed mode back to full screen.

yeah that was what played when I had the glitch happened oddly enough after I reloaded after the glitch happened I had two autosaves both had me in the mystech caves but the quest log still has me listed as needing to meet with the girl in the tenents to get the info on the job for Grumpos
