Hi,
Am getting into serious fps issues in the sender station level ... think its like .5-1 fps going by the slideshows. The game worked fine on anox albeit slower... going by what was displayed i believe the frames touched may be higher single digit to double digit fps in populated sections on anox, starting at Rowdy's but still was playable.
PC config is current gen for the lack of a better word. Am running win 7 64 bit.
Am using the retail version (got it for 150 bucks/2 dollars), patched it to build 46 latest patch. The game was crashing at startup so renamed anox.exe to quake2.exe.
Have looked up on google and have tried all proposed solutions, to no avail. Am listing the same below.
1. Compat changed to win 98
2. Affinity assigned to a single core
3. Launched from GCT
4. Also marked no desktop comp, no visual themes, no display scaling on high DPI
I can see that the problem is not cull related as the game revives as soon as i move into a low visibility area so my guess is i will need a drawdistance related cvar and reduce it to lowest possible playable levels. Either that or any other alternative. Eager to know your thoughts.
Thanks.
