When I start SM all I get is a split second of music and a black screen. Then nothing happens - I have to alt-tab out to shut down the program.

I have tried various compatibility settings, disabling the intro movie, disabling Direct3D... nothing seems to make any difference at all.

I am running Windows 7 64-bit Home.

Any ideas?

Fixed it. Ran Windows Update (even though I just did that a couple of days ago). Also, starting the game from the .exe in the game directory seemed to help for some reason.

Another way to fix it is to disable sounds and run it with Windows 7 compatibility
