Yorin, Day 8
I moved up and assaulted Jyri's forces. After a grand battle, there were only 6 survivors; 1 of his heroes, my three heroes, something stacked with my heroes, and a blade dancer chick of mine. I probably would have killed Jyri's remaining hero, but his wizard went down first.
I figured even if I lost the battle, I should be able to inflict more than enough casualties to allow my partner to mop up in short order, and I'd be able to pass Wenne everything I owned before losing.

This was an interesting map.
-Looking at the stats, I had an odd moment thinking "Hey, I reached my first city a full turn before anyone else", but then I remembered I alone had Explorer.
-Us managing to hit both reinforcement points helped. I don't think the Elf side reinforcements got involved when Mimo attacked Wenne, but Mimo couldn't use them on Wenne either. The extra units helped me decide to go ahead and try to nail Jyri on Turn 8.
-Wenne's hero converting Mimo's boars really turned that fight around on Mimo. I suspect Mimo would have won if the boars had not nearly all been converted during the battle.
-Explorer let me get rolling along the road, and thus on to the main island, quite a bit faster than the rest of you. Looks like some of you guys stopped to hit your vaults or ruins before leaving your island, too (which I skipped, since they were deep into the forest). In return, I got Fire spheres, bleh.
-I think I was significantly closer to the Human side reinforcement point than Jyri was. I did have to worry about a Karagh and multiple stacks of wolves; I don't know what he had in his way.
-I'm pretty convinced that the correct choice for Humans was to use the bunker. The item could be moved around, possibly recalled to the bunker for a lot of mana, and the human wizard really only came with Fire Pistol. Sending the Elf Wizard into the bunker is a harder call; entangle and swimming are both really useful abilities.
