I feel as if AOW 1's story premise takes partial influence from Led Zeppelin's Battle of Evermore, I was curious to see who thought the same.

Go to the damn website. There are classes and you fight over castles and stuff. Campaign you can play Human (with subjugated races) or Elven Court. Story-wise, Elves and Dark Elves reunited into one court, and the races can become good or evil.

I loved Battle of Evermore. One of the few Zeppelin songs where Robert Plant is not crying for baby.

Same, and with what I was talking about, I think the first couple of verses really inspired the original story for the first game.

Battle of Evermore was directly inspired by The Lord of the Rings, which most fantasy games also crib from. So it is going to be easy to find parallels everywhere.
