verwurster: So basically, early adopters are suckers, we'll take age of wonders shadow magic and cut it into pieces to sell you for 10 bucks each because fuck you, speaking of that expect at least 2 more expansions and this is supposed to be the "good kind" of DLC because it's not just 3 bucks for a character.
I'm not clear on what your problem is, really. So far these DLC have added more content than Shadow Magic did, and combined cost less than Shadow Magic did (or at most the same amount, depending on area, pricing, etc). I mean, mate, don't get me wrong. I
love Shadow Magic. As a long-time fan of AoW, going back to playing the demo for AoW 1 before it was released, I was immensely disappointed with AoW 2, and thought SM fixed everything that was wrong with it. I played the snot out of that game. But I'm not really clear on what the meaningful difference is between paying thirty bucks for two DLC expansions and paying thirty-thirty five bucks for one expansion pack (because, yes, that's what Shadow Magic was. A standalone expansion pack, but an expansion pack nonetheless). I mean, I would say the former is the better deal, because Eternal Lords seems to be roughly making the same amount of changes and additions as Shadow Magic, so you've got your equivalency right there for twenty bucks, and then Golden Realms on top of that.
Also I'm not clear on why this punishes early adopters.
