Now you just need to let me know the date when the "Game of the Year" edition with all the DLC will be coming out so I can mark my calendar. Only half jesting since it's a Paradox game and that might not be till 2030...

That is a legit concern. They stuck with the Triumph formula for DLC's with Planetfall tough, so there is hope it will remain that way.

But is it coming to gog? only scheme and egs store pages are up...

But it's promising to me since titles on GOG are often announced later.

This is somehow still exciting however, since it possibly means we’re nearing AoW3 Complete Edition. That’s how things work regarding basically everything Paradox-related.

Seriously, the game isn’t even out and four DLC are already announced, for Christ’s sake, and let’s add the Prophet (pbuh) in the loop for good measure.

Yes when we announced the Pre-Orders we also gave indications of what each DLC would roughly get you. When we are asking for money for future content, then it's at least fair to tell you what you can expect.

Wait, when you say “each DLC”, you mean all DLC, that’s it, i.e. there won’t be (dozens) more later, reaching a grand total in the hundreds ? Hence no commercial ambiguity either, concerning what one has or doesn’t have, sometimes paying twice, thrice for the same content ? Let’s be fair indeed, that would be nice.

In the end, AoW3 wasn’t split in a myriad of pieces, but knowing Paradox is behind, there was no confidence in that… however, considering that AoW4 is already announced with four DLCs before being released, not even mentioning the pre-order content and the archmage attire, there’s matter for concern.

Besides, you say it’s at least fair to tell what can be expected, but apart from the number of DLCs, their names, and (roughly estimated I guess) dates of release, nothing is mentioned, and those are just marketing artifacts.

Each of the DLC's included in the Expansion Pass. Whether there will be more DLC further in the future depends on the performance of the Game. For now our immediate focus is making sure that the game we deliver next months is solid.

Planetfall was also developed, partly, under Paradox. For Planetfall we wanted to tell a story across the 3 DLC's and that's what we did. There we also had several Sign Up, Pre-Order and Deluxe bonusses. The approach to DLC is decided for each project individually.

customization possibilty looks amazing. but the gameplay seems like the same old spam-stacks-around-your-enemy-to-win. will wait for more review and gameplay reveal before deciding to get it preorder or wait few years in future to get it. wishlisted for now.
