Search button doesn't work, so i had to make a new thread.

How in the world do i zoom in / out map in Age of Wonders (first game)?
I tried Page Up and Page Down, doesn't work at all, mouse wheel also not working.

This game is from 1999, a dim and murky past in which features such as "zooming" were not yet commonplace. (Nor were mousewheels, if I recall correctly. Though I may have been behind the times with those.)

On the plus side, Age of Wonders was solidly designed and can handle modern resolutions just fine. (Quite rare for games form that era.)

On the down side, everything becomes impossibly small when you do use those resolutions.

The only solution I know of is to set the game to a much lower resolution than your monitor's native one. Then, things become nice and big. (And legible. I like being able to read the text.)

Yeah. As sad as it is, you should play it on smaller resolution to actually see anything. But, at least in my opinion, the game still holds it charm, so unless you are alergic to old graphics, you should be fine. ;)
