But no frostlings. Alas.

Looks interesting, though.
The money run begins. Fanboys will scream in ecstasy for each 10$ "expansion" containing a bunch of fixes and one of the old AoW1&2 races. Ah, forgot - plus the "unique never-ever-seen" Seals of Power mechanics... :)

For me it's called the cynical robbery and creative impotency. It's the last time I have bought something on pre-order stage.
From what I understand, you don't need to get the expansion to get the fixes - they'll be available in a separate patch.

Whether or not an expansion is worth the cost is another matter. Game expansions were around long before the modern rip-off style of DLC (gouging for tiny things and/or deliberately yanking content from the release to make it pay-for), and at least some of this looks like new material.
So... no Golden Realms release today? :_(
Steam releases GR at about 19:00 CET, so depending on where you are it might take a while until release. The release of the base game was linked with steams time as well for no reason at all...

Same time zone as in Spain, so 19:00 it is then. Thanks :)

No, it wasn't. I bought the base game from GOG because it was hours before it would be unlocked on Steam
The patch appears to have been released in the form of a new installer for the game.

So do I just download it and install over the current installation or do I need to uninstall the game and then re-install with the new version??
So they released it and it's currently .09 cents (USD)...?

They've fixed it already. What an odd error. Oh well, I nabbed it for .09 cents. :-)
Yeah, that's a strange error. Oh well, I'm happy paying the $11.99. I think Triumph has done a great job supporting the game post-release.

And even if someone doesn't care for the DLC they can still benefit from the 1.4 patch which, according to Steam users who had access to a beta version of the patch makes a lot of AI changes and balance changes for the better.
