I have found that in game the only way to deselect a unit or structure is to left click on another unit or structure. I've tried left-clicking over empty terrain, but this doesn't work. True, it doesn't make the game unplayable, but it is annoying when I accidentally place a rally point in the wrong place. Does anyone else have this problem?

Yes, it's a known flaw and afaik there's no common deselect feature in AoW.
Thanks for the info. As I said, not a big problem, just mildly annoying.

There's an option called "sticky selection option" or something like that. Try that ;)

Thanks. I didn't notice that option. I may try it. However, I have since gotten used to it and during some missions when it gets quicker paced, it does keep me from accidentally deselecting my units, so I may leave it alone. I didn't consider that originally, but maybe that's why it works that way by default.
