Can somebody help me make my PS1 dualshock work on this game? It's the only one with analogue sticks that I can connect to my PC, I'm using that blue connector if you know what I mean, my PC sees it as "Twin USB Joystick", but it's not being recognised by the game, it doesn't even register that there's a controller connected, so I assume there's no native support for it...
I don't wanna play with the keyboard and mouse, I really don't like having to play that way, so I've been trying to map my keys to the PS1 controller with Xpadder, but I don't know what are all the keys...

If someone can help me either make the game recognise my controller, or at least tell me what keyboard/mouse buttons do what, in detail, and what are their PS dualshock equivalents so that I can map them properly, I'll be very thankful... Also, if possible, I'd like to change the on-screen button prompts to their PlayStation equivalents so that I'm not confused whenever the game tells me to do whatever...

Thanks in advance!

Don't use Xpadder. It's good for games that don't support gamepads at all, but this game does support gamepads. The only problem is that it only supports Xbox 360/One controllers.

So instead you should use X360CE. It will make your gamepad appear like it's a Xbox 360 gamepad. It's a better solution because your analog stick will work as intended (simulating a mouse with analog stick is awful), you'll have less stuff to configure, and it's easier to remember that ABXY stands for Cross, Circle, Square, Triangle.

However, the PS1 is a very old console, so there's no guarantee X360CE will recognize it (but if Xpadder can, I don't see why X360CE can't).

If all else fails, I recommend just buying an Xbox One controller. It's supported by every modern game that supports gamepads, and you have less software to run on your PC. Even the Dualshock 4 would be a better choice (though you'll still need X360CE for A Hat in Time).

Well, X360CE does support those obscure chinese controllers, so why wouldn't it support a PS1?

I'd recommend wired(!) Xbox 360 controller instead. It is cheaper and you don't need any reciever thingies to use in on PC. I am pretty happy with mine.

Sorry for the late answer...
You know, the program does recognise my controller, and it appears to be properly configured, but the game still doesn't think there's a controller connected, when I try to fiddle around with the options I get the "MSVCP120.dll is missing" message, but I DO have that dll, I've already re-installed it countless times and the program still can't find it...

The problem might be that X360CE simply doesn't support the game. It happens with some obscure games. Don't know how to fix it. Try writing to the developers?
