The number of hours Steam tells me I've played Crossworlds. I was a big fan of KB: The Legend, but it had a few (balance) flaws, Crossworlds managed to iron those out and whats left is a very tidy, extremely replayable experience (with many more units, spells and items thrown in). Crossworlds talent trees are far better balanced across the classes compared to The Legend, and some of the obvious, cheesy high-end spell spam from The Legend was also addressed. Some convenience options (as far as recruitment and upgrading) have been added, but be prepared to still travel a bit to replenish your armies with your favourite troops. The story, soundtrack and art are more of the same, which isn't a bad thing, as The Legend players will feel right at home. The scattered spirits of rage have been replaced with a pet dragon, who gains levels alongside you, which, like your companions, items and army, you can build the way you like (and said dragon can even be augmented with items). Despite the changes, the game is still as simple and friendly as ever, easy to learn, difficult to master, utterly different with every playthrough, and the high point of the series (steer clear of Warriors of the North). Highly recommended.
