Well, I have nothing to say about this game. I wouldn't be surprised if people didn't mean to vote for this 2018 Survival game with "Mostly Negative (41)" reviews on Steam.

The true Vietcong (2003) was a game that was a rare Czech production and thanks to its high-quality and fun Czech dub, it's part of many childhoods around here. It has an interesting level design, a unique atmosphere, and memorable characters. Make sure to include the original soundtrack just like we remember!

As Paul has pointed out, this is not Vietcong (2003) by czech developer Pterodon. Reasons for making this available on gog are aplenty. Specifically the campaign is really good and varied in spite of some missions being a bit of a slog. The way the missions are connected by way of the player's quarters, the shooting range and armory where the loadout could be chosen, helped give the campaign a coherent feeling. It was also narratively connected through diary entries and some cutscenes. The gameplay was essentially that of a tactical FPS with limited saves, but on Normal difficulty it was quite humane.

There is a mistake on this Dreamlist page, where another game with the same name, released more than 15 years after the original Vietcong, was mistakenly given votes from the previous Vietcong Wishlists threads.
Could GOG employees transfer the votes to the correct Vietcong, the one developed by Pterodon (2003)? The one on this Dreamlist page is a completely different game with the same name that was released in 2018 and had "Overwhelmingly Negative" reviews on Steam:

The original Wishlist thread on GOG was created in 2012, 6 years before the release of this copycat. People in the thread, which had gained almost 4000 votes by the time Dreamlist was launched, specifically and unambiguously requested Pterodon's Vietcong and its addon Fist Alpha:
