One of the games that came with our first family PC, me and my brothers spent countless hours figuring out the puzzles despite hardly knowing any English at the time. I haven't played it in a long time since these days running the game is very difficult, but I'd love to see an updated version compatible with modern systems on GOG one day to relive the nostalgia.
my mom bought this for my sister and I and we played it for years. It was one of our favorite pc games. Ive still got it but no pc to play it on. Ive tried everything to get it running locally. Tried to get it on MiSTer, even considered buying or building a retro pc. Be nice if i could just play it on a modern one though.
This is an amazing gem of a game. Really hiding the learning in a fun and interesting way. Cant remember how many hours I spent in front of the screen with this game. But the best part is that everyone in the family enjoyed the game as well. Even my grandparents could enjoy sitting down with me as a child playing this "computer game" as they would say.
So many different types of puzzles that were all so fun. For a "kid" game, the different difficulties you could choose could become really hard, even for an adult!
I used to spend hours playing this game, it was one of the first games I played that came in CD ROM, and first game I played with voices! Basically taught me how to speak English. The puzzles were very creative, never played anything like it since. It's impossible to run this game on modern machines, believe me, I tried so much!

This game has a plethora of game modes available to the user. It contains ports of "Puyo Puyo" and "Puyo Puyo 2", as well as a RPG-styled quest mode in which the player plays as Arle and battles against members of the other cast in Puyo Puyo matches. It also houses a "Stage Clear" mode in which you have to face either 10, 20, or 30 opponents, as well as two multiplayer modes which can be played with either other players or AI substitutes.
For the Quest mode itself, it allowed the player to customize the armory in ways in which made Arle stronger with a double-edged sword effect. You could remove the Puyo Rings in order to beef up her attack at the expense of being unable to see your next pieces for example, and the amount of experience gained and gold won was relative to how big a chain was scored and how quickly the opponent was defeated.
The key point in the Puyo Puyo gameplay of Box is that the player can choose a ruleset from either "Puyo Puyo", "Puyo Puyo 2", "Puyo Puyo Sun" and "Puyo Puyo~n". This can effectively lead to 4-player battles where each player plays with independent or mixed rules. This game also allowed for team battles to take place. A special multiplayer mode was made available in this game, known as "Treasure Mode", which was adapted in "Puyo Puyo! 15th Anniversary" as its "Excavation Mode".Action

Martian Gothic: UnificationMartian Gothic : Unification is one of the numerous titles which came out at the end of the PlayStation lifespan. At first glance, it looks like a typical Resident Evil rip-off with a futuristic paint, a disturbing cover and bad voice-acting. Of course, the game ended up selling very poorly. But it's so much more than that.
Incidentally, it is also Creative Reality's last game. Sharing the same team and the same writer than Dreamweb, it comes as no surprise that the game heavily relies on writing and puzzles. This game is featuring Joey Wheeler as the opponent, adds new cards, new dueling choices, new dueling options and more Decks for the opponent, making this the Power of Chaos game with the most content. The cards from the previous two Power of Chaos games, if installed, are included. New game features include a ranked difficulty for the computer opponent, denoted by a star gauge in the Duel menu, which ranks from 1 star to 9. As you win duels, the difficulty increases, and the opponent swaps his Deck for a more potent one every time this happens. Later difficulty levels (8-9) allow the opponent to use different Decks in that same level. Losing consecutive duels results in decreased difficulty for the first time in Power of Chaos games. Other options include allowing the opponent to use cards from the previous two games, increasing the difficulty.
