Super Cars II was a terrific game, and certainly one of the most iconic cars and weapons games of the 16-bit era. For anyone who's unaware, however, there was also an enhanced edition of this same game released for DOS PCs called Supercars International (officially, the third game).
I don't think it's controversial to say that Supercars International was the most accomplished release in the series as far as fluidity, tightly-controlled gameplay and other refinements were concerned, though Super Cars II is also fondly remembered for its music (which was replaced in International). Otherwise, I mention Super Cars International here because not many people know of its existence - possibly due to its exclusive release on a newer generation of home computers, along with a slight name change.
