Steel Armor: Blaze of War – T-62 vs. Mujahideen Ambush
Afghanistan, 1986
The T-62 rumbles forward, its engine growling as dust billows around the tracks. The convoy snakes through a narrow valley, steep ridges towering on either side. It’s too quiet. Too still. The perfect kill zone. Your fingers tighten on the controls. Something is coming. Then, the radio crackles.
**“CONTACT LEFT! RPGs INCOMING!”**
A streak of smoke, then an explosion. The lead T-62 takes a direct hit, its turret engulfed in flames as shrapnel rains down. Gunfire erupts from the cliffs—Mujahideen fighters, hidden in the rocks, unleash a storm of bullets and rockets. The DShK heavy machine gun nest opens up from a cave, tracers slashing through the dust-choked air. Your turret swings left, gunner already locked in.
**“Target acquired—firing!”**
The 115mm HE round slams into the ridgeline, detonating with a shockwave that sends bodies and debris tumbling. But there’s no time to celebrate. Another RPG streaks down, narrowly missing before impacting the road beside you, shaking the entire hull. The BMP-2 skids to a halt, its 30mm cannon hammering the mountainside in return fire. The air is thick with smoke and chaos. Then, through the haze, you spot it—a recoilless rifle team setting up on a rock outcrop, preparing to fire.
Without hesitation, you make your move. The T-62 surges forward, your gun trained on the threat. The main gun roars, and the explosion consumes the enemy position. But it’s too late—their round is already in flight. A deafening impact smashes into your right track, sending the tank into a violent lurch. The metal groans. You’re immobilized.
Bullets ping off the turret as Mujahideen fighters intensify their assault. Another RPG slams into the armor, rattling the crew inside. Smoke fills the cabin. The loader shouts over the chaos. **“We’re still in this, comrade!”**
Your options are dwindling.. this is Steel Armor for you !!
