Story:An action game spin-off in the Total Warrior series. Play as a mighty Spartan trooper, and battle through hordes of enemies in large environments, while working with allies. Use ultra-violent special attacks to mow down entire groups of foes at once, with ridiculously bloody effect.
The game has a fast-paced, arcade-like, mission-based gameplay. In each mission, you must succeed in minor goals like killing the generals of the opposition, escorting sappers to blow up enemy siege weaponry and preventing the enemy from making to behind your borders. The storyline progresses through cutscenes, shown in-between each mission.
Depending on how you succeed in your mission, you get "tokens", which you can use to upgrade the health, damage or power of your character. The player is capable of doing special moves, which can be learned throughout the game. Some of the special moves gain their powers through the spartan gods, that aid the player in his battle. During the game, you can find different weapons like swords, bows and spears, and of course, shields.Show more

Loves this game, I remember it was one of the last games I bought for my original Xbox. It was 2005, the Xbox 360 was already on its way, so it was one of the last hurrahs of a great console. Months later my OG Xbox died and I couldn't play it anymore. It was only released on Xbox, Ps2 and Gamecube and it was never made backwards compatible or released on PC, si its trapped, TRAPPED forever. And newer generations will never know the magic of fighting like 50 roman soldiers at the same time with a spear.
Eu tive a grande sorte de jogar esse jogo no lançamento para PS2 eu considero um dos melhores jogos que foi lançado para o console, história incrível,controles excelentes, gráficos incríveis,um nível de dificuldade bem elevado em cada fase, mas sem deixar de ser divertido eu até hoje não sei como que não saiu um remake desse jogo,esse jogo é de uma época que se não conseguisse passar a fase passava o controle.
Very glad to be 1 of 344 who remember this game. This was just an enjoyable game, taking on the might of SPQR (ROME), it would be truly amazing to play this again on the PC with enhanced graphics.

The worlds is half open, you can roam the world as you wish but you will have to go through the main story to progress to the next large open area
The combat is largely melee focused, but you also have firearms and throwing weapons, bullets and guns are scares in the start of the game, but towards the end of the game they are much easier to find. The zombies are mostly slow, but there is a wide range of different zombies throughout the game.

DrakengardDrakengard follows the story of a kingdomless prince named Caim who fights for the Union against the Empire. The player controls Caim on his quest. The game is separated into three distinct modes: Aerial combat, Ground combat and Event Combat. In Aerial Combat, Caim rides dragonback against a variety of airborne foes breathing fireballs (strong single shots and weaker multiple lock-on shots). The Dragon is agile and is able to evade incoming threats, turning around completely in a moment. In Ground combat, the game is shown in 3rd person though usually large, open areas. Controlling Caim, his primary ability is the use of a variety of weapons found on the battlefield. These are leveled up through continued usage, and specifically through the killing of individual enemies. Though magic (determined by weapon choice), timed attacks and evasion, Caim breaks through enemy armies. Characters recruited as allies by Caim can also be summoned during battles, steadily losing health until control is returned to Caim. In ground combat, Caim may also call forth his Dragon to ride and strafe enemies from the air. The Dragon's movements are generally the same as in aerial combat but more limited and less agile. Event combat is similar to Ground combat, but shown isometrically, restricted to a single weapon and without the aid of a dragon. It is used mainly to tell story sequences.
Levels that have been visited before might become "Expedition Missions" which are optional and contain new objectives, enemies and weapons. Additionally, any level previously played in the storyline may be revisited at any time. Depending on Caim's choices (and prerequisites for those choices), there are five different endings to Drakengard.Action Fantasy Horror
