This game is a broken mess and i love it. I spent so many hours flying around these cities unlocking new helicopters. Uploading my own sim city 2000 cities to navigate through. This is one of those games that we'll never see the light of day of you don't bring it back.

I played this game when I was so young that I only have vague, dream-like, memories of it. What I do remember is having great fun while putting out fires in the city that I've made in SimCity 2000. To this day I have not played any game that captures the same spirit. Take on Helicopters from Bohemia Interactive is the closest but it leans more into simulation, while SimCopter had a great balance of simulation and arcade fun.
When me and my brother first got into PC gaming with the first family computer, this is one of the first games we got. Sure, we had sc2k, and flight simulator 94, and others. But this one will always hold a special place in my heart as my first open world game, and one of my favorites. It still amuses me today that the install could go from 2mb on the hard drive, all the way up to 34mb on the hard drive. With two levels between. It was a fun game, a stupid game.

I loved the features in this game, including its compatibility with SimCity 2000 maps. I've been looking for modern equivalents, but nothing really compares. I know the graphics are dated, but the gameplay was so solid. I'd love to have another go at playing this.
For the dreamlist, please add the the unpatched original Gay version, if you please. Even if that gets it banned in Russia or Trump's America, as well as gains Mr. Wright's personal disapproval, the world needs Bichlbaum and the Yes Men more than ever before.

I remember being introduced to this game by a dear family friend. It was the first game I had played with a joystick when those things used a serial port connection. This game has a lot of charm to it. It was interesting how different helicopters all felt different when you used them. I remember how different ones were all specialized for specific roles. If you had a better helicopter for the job, it could be done more easily, but you can make do with most helicopters for nearly any mission. I still remember being excited to find a new helicopter and try it out to see how it performed for different jobs and roles. This is one of those old games that will probably never get any love or attention because it is an old Maxis title.

Fantastic game, a gem of my childhood. The fires, the out of control trains and riots. And of course the helicopters and accessories, I love it. When I able to buy a new helicopter, I was jumping in my room. :D
My actual favorite game growing up infinite replayability with generated mission in either premade or your own simcity 2000 cities sim copter is maxis at it peak creativity. It wacky sense of humor the impressive for the time graphics and a story that is out of this world simcopter deserves to be running on modern hardware that doesnt explode constantly

When I was a kid, my parents got me a bundle of games that included this game as well as Streets Of SimCity, SimIsle, SimSafari, and SimTower. This was another entry in that pack that I have very fond memories of.

I once had access to the Demo version of this game, unfortunately it didn't have several events like protests, and it wasn't possible to buy new helicopters, so if we lost our first one, it was impossible to continue. But I remember spending hours and hours flying around the city, solving problems, and sometimes causing problems while hitting cars with my bucket. Please GOG get this one, I would love to be able to play it again and this time be able to test all the helicopters, preferably those with more than two passenger seats.

Freelancer
FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.
