Currently my favorite Resident Evil remake to date. Prior to it's release I confessed I was heavily against it. Same with Silent Hill 2 Remake for that matter. My expectations of the original versions were insanely high. I was mind blown both those remakes ended up being really great. Somehow this further made the game even better!!! No really the little changes goes such a long way here. Most of the characters has outfits as well as accessories they can wear. They even made exploring truly amazing as well. Even know this is a remake of a great RE game. This actually a vastly different experience. Some sections are heavily changed or swapped into Separate Ways DLC. Which even there was a massive step up from the original version. Of course you also get The Mercenaries free at that. There's a lot more unlockables in comparison. Resident Evil 4 was easily my 2023 Game of the Year hands down!!! This game was virtually mind blowing!!! Even for a longer length RE game it never over stays it's welcome. This is how you properly modernize a classic. I already know this would really sell big on GOG. This game further pushed my expectations for remake games higher. At this point what else could I say that haven't already been said about it?
