It is genuinely a very well made game that, in some aspects, was ahead of its time by a decade or more. It was highly ambitious and told an internist story with, for the time, very good graphics and scope.
The only thing that kept it from succeeding were the technical limitations of its time and the PS1, productions errors in its original pressings (the original release batch of the game was faulty and features an unavoidable glitch that made the game unwinnable) which was only rectified by a repress YEARS later and in small numbers. Plus it never came out in North American and only in Japan and Europe/Australia.
It would greatly benefit of a global rerelease on more capable hardware since it has become notorious for being a hidden gem.
