Countless hours spent on Oregon Trail II! Fun voice acting and music, perilous moments (ford the river? caulk the wagons and float?), incredibly scary "DUN-DUN!" sound effects when something dangerous happens; traveling music that changes depending on whether you're doing well or poor, and every playthrough feels different. The game's FMVs don't play correctly on modern machines, so this clearly needs the GOG touch to bring it to a modern audience. It's a perfect edutainment game for kids, too. I learned a lot about the old West thanks to this game.
My kids and I played this game a LOT 20-25 years ago, when they were in grade school. We had a copy of the strategy guide, too. I loved how you had a choice of 4 different routes on which to travel, with multiple possible "cutoffs" for portions of each route. I would usually play as a Pharmacist, and stock up on all of the possible medications in the starting town, as those comprised a minute part of the wagon's cargo. I would feel much more comfortable owning a legit download of this game from GOG, rather than a free-but-sketchy download from an abandonware site.
This is, bar none, the best Oregon Trail game I have ever played. I've been enjoying the recent adaptation that came out a few years ago, but Oregon Trail II will always have a special place in my heart. With the different levels of challenge, numerous potential choices for treating illness and injuries, a guidebook to give you in-universe hints as to how to survive the various challenges, and a diary function so you could make up your own stories, it made for quite the absorbing experience. I played it over and over again when I was a kid, and it would be a delight to be able to play it again.
Amazing soundtrack that I still listen to. Gorgeous pictures when traveling on the map. The little details made the game world come to life. I read every page in the in-game guide, and I still think of this game.

SOCOM II: U.S. Navy SEALsSOCOM II is a third-person tactical shooter. There are 12 different single-player missions: split equally between Albania, Algeria, Brazil and Russia. There are five different ranks that can be played in the game: Ensign, Lieutenant, Commander, Captain and Admiral. The player starts with the first three ranks unlocked, but must finish the single player game on Commander to unlock Captain, and on Captain to unlock Admiral. SOCOM: U.S. Navy SealsThe player leads a four-man team (three AI-controlled teammates) of United States Navy SEALs through 12 missions in four regions: Alaska, Thailand, Congo, and Turkmenistan in the years 2006 and 2007. In the single player missions, commands can be spoken using the included USB headset or via an onscreen menu if the optional SOCOM headset was not purchased. Typical missions consist of killing terrorists, rescuing hostages, retrieving intelligence, or destroying terrorist bases.
The player character's codename is Kahuna, while the NPC teammates' codenames are Boomer, Spectre and Jester. The team is divided into two sub-groups, Alpha and Bravo. The Alpha group consists of the player and Boomer, while the remaining two make up Bravo. Commands can be issued to both individuals and a whole group, for example it is possible to ask team Bravo to remain stationary while the player is scouting the area with Boomer. However the player can not venture alone through a map, when Kahuna is too far away from Boomer he will automatically resume following the player, regardless of prior orders. Briefings and intel such as maps and photos are given prior to each mission.Action Warfare
Spider-Man: Return of the Sinister SixSpider-Man: Return of the Sinister Six is a side-scrolling game which puts you in the role of Spidey throughout six levels against Electro, Sandman, Mysterio, Vulture, Hobgoblin and Doctor Octopus respectively. Some puzzle solving (like finding a key) is necessary to beat some levels. Spidey can duck jump, climb walls, punch, shoot webs to swing (by pressing punch and jump together) and perform a jump kick (by pressing the punch button twice). Collecting web cartridges allows Spidey to shoot limited web projectiles.
Although hard to die, Spidey has only one life, there are no items to recharge life (but killing some guys will do so) and only one continue.Action
