Yoko Taro is one of those creative minds that come around once in a lifetime. Unfortunately, both the NieR series and the Drakengard series have ruined other games for me. I hold all other games, especially their stories, to the standard that Yoko Taro has set.
NieR Replicant is a masterpiece in story telling. Can the game play be a bit clunky? Yes. Can the quests be a bit tedious? Yes. But, Yoko Taro's storytelling and world-building are literally unmatched.

The fourth installment of the Wild Arms series abandons its traditional Wild West theme and is set in a post-apocalyptic world. The gameplay system introduces hex-based battles. Battle screens are divided into seven hexes, each one of which can hold several party members or foes. You navigate your characters on the battle field, trying to force the enemy into an uncomfortable position. There is also a variety of skills you can learn and apply in battles to get benefits.
