by Pangea Software, Inc.
Genres:Adventure, Shooter

Game modes:Single player
Story:Nanosaur is a third-person action game. The player must find each of the five types of eggs and bring them to time portals. The location of the nearest time portal is always indicated by an onscreen "temporal compass" arrow. The Nanosaur can fly with his jetpack, but the amount of fuel is limited. Pickups with ammunition, health refills, and energy shields can be found strewn about, and fuel can be recharged by standing near gas fissures. For his defense against the wild dino populace, the Nanosaur is equipped with a "fusion blaster" weapon which has numerous attack modes, each using a different type of ammunition. Apart from the dinosaurs, the player must also watch out for other threats such as lava, rolling boulders, or spore shooting fungi.Show more

Nanosaur and Nanosaur II were some of the first video games I ever played, as my school had them installed on their old blobby apple mac desktop computers. I love dinosaurs and the idea of splicing them into a sci-fi technological setting was always intruiging to me. These games are a challenging novel experience that is needlessly difficult to access in our modern age.

Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil 4Resident Evil 4 is the sixth installment of the Resident Evil series praised as a revolution from the core games. It was the first title to implement a third-person view rather than the original fixed camera angles its predecessors had. Its mechanics have been completely revamped to incorporate fast-paced gunplay, quick controls and shoot-outs involving massive crowds of enemies in more open areas. The brand-new AI system and open environments allow enemies to work together to capture and corner Leon. Enemies are now humans, which allows them to climb up ladders, open doors, and use weapons throughout the game. Resident Evil 4 had one of the most tormented developments in any game, four proposed versions of the game were discarded by the developers before the finished product was released.
