A great sequel to an awesome game, it takes everything that was good about the first and makes it better. The story is even more epic with some of the best levels of the series, with a great soundtrack and voice work. Spent tons of hours playing with my friends when I was a kid. It's a shame that this series was lost, it's a truly revolutionary RTS.

This game was an improvement over the first in many ways. The community made some amazing plugins! There is still a community alive for it here 25+ years later through custom metaservers for online play and discord. This style of RTS is so unique compared to the rest - you use the units you get to plow through the levels. no resource gathering, no building, only skill. multiplayer has a unique 'unit trading' system to trade between units with points as currency. This series doesn't deserve to get lost to time and would make an excellent addition to GOG!

The best game there was, the best game there is and the best game there ever will be. There is a thriving online community to this day and no other game meets the unique tactical and strategical approach that this game encompasses. I've never found a game that is more satisfying than Myth 2 Soulblighter in my 30+ years of gaming.

While I spent the majority of my time on the TFL servers back in the day, I will freely admit that the single player campaign in Soulblighter is vastly superior to the original. But my fondest memories involve messing around with the Fear and Loathing development tools bundled with the game and using them to make all sorts of crazy new units!

Myth is the single greatest achievement by Bungie studios in their entire career. Marathon is a close second. Myth is my childhood. I have never found a game as good as the Myth series since its release. At least, not in the RTS genre. Myth is the kind of game that GOG EVEN EXISTS FOR. This is quite possibly THE MOST IMPORTANT VOTE ever held on GoG. Words cannot describe how much this game means to me, and anyone who was there in the bungie.net days playing TFL and Myth 2. It simply is magical. It has never been equaled. The narrations and storyline. The physics. The gorgeous maps. The humor, the carnage, the endless modability and replayability. Myth 2 should be on GoG FOR SURE, myth 1 is not that supported but for posterity I think it should still be available.

Half of my childhood was playing Myth II and Starcraft's demos on a loop with my brother and cousins. The amount of joy we got from the strategy of Myth II couldn't compare to anything else on that old apple computer, and I jumped at the chance to play the full game over a decade later. It was hard to run and crashed a few times, so I really would love GoG to bring Myth up to speed with 2025 so I can relive these experiences again (and loop in my cousins who aren't quite as tech savvy). I love the different stories that come from your units carrying over from the levels (if they survive), I love the strategy with positional combat, ground attacks, and the various units. AND THE NARRATION! So great, please bring this to GoG!

I loved the first game as a child, but Myth 2 is even better, and it is unironically one of the best games of all time. Seriously, Myth had a great campaign, but Myth 2's has more variety and more dramatic missions. It's overall an improvement, in my opinion, but fine. Everything I've said about Myth: The Fallen Lords applies here: Gameplay? Innovative and with depth. Art? Improved, clearer, and still detailed and clean. Music? Still fantastic! The map editor was a great source of enjoyment for me too. The tools were named Fear and Loathing, and that is, no joke, how I learned the word "Loathing", which, really, is a fantastic word. Just listen to it. Loathing. Loathe. It sounds like what it means, and so does Myth 2. It sounds like more Myth. If getting the original Myth isn't possible, then good news! There is a plugin/mod available that makes game 1 playable in game 2 (even making reverting gameplay changes possible for a more authentic experience). Why? Because as it turns out, this game STILL has an active community, with mods and even some multiplayer, apparently. I've never been too into multiplayer, but it has that too! Alas, even those of us who still have the old disks suffer. Getting this game installed these days is just a bit tricky, and to get everything working can be troublesome. GOG might fix that, which I'd appreciate because I have occasionally gone through all that trouble just to do a playthrough, just... sometimes. People deserve the chance to play this game. I know there are Bungie and RTS/RTT fans who will go for this these days. C'mon GOG, please? Arguably Bungie's best ever game... Also, if you can get the Soundtrack... yes, I'd buy this one too.

I started playing Myth 2 around about 2011-2012, which was well after it was sold in stores obviously. back during that time Bungie was going radio silent after releasing Halo: Reach and I found myself stumbling around their forums on Bungie.net looking for groups to join. that was when I found out about this group called "FCAW" that exclusively played older Bungie games. I was able to get myself a copy of the game and play with this group of individuals that had amazingly still been playing every so often since launch. Through Myth 2 I was able to not only find a group of friends that I could socialize with and look up to; but I was able to get a better understanding of what it meant to be a Bungie Fan before Halo, and how much of a focus that Bungie put into their community. Myth 2 is an exceptional game that tried and did many things I had not seen other games of that era do. the physics, effects, explosions, and hilarious gibbing of allies and enemies alike, makes it one of my all time favorites. and I'm sure that if Myth 2 was on GOG, so many other people would think the same thing.

Been playing it since it was released. Awesome game that has been kept alive by the community for over 2 decades. The 3d camera movement, well balanced unit sets and totally unique physics make this game truly one of the best games ever made!

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.

As the player progresses, his troops are equipped with weapons from "crysknives" to atomics, tap into Paul's latent psychic powers, and get acquainted with such characters from the book as Chani and Liet-Kynes.

Dune II: The Building of a Dynasty
Dune II: The Building of a DynastyDune II is often considered the first mainstream modern real-time strategy game and established many conventions of the genre. Even though set in Frank Herbert's famous Dune universe, the game is only loosely connected to the plot of any of the books or the films based from them. Controlling either of the three Houses, the player must fight a number of battles against the other Houses. In the early levels, the goal is simply to earn a certain number of credits, while in the later missions, all enemies must be destroyed. The single resource in the game is the Spice, which must be collected by harvesters. The spice is converted to credits in a refinery, which are then spent to construct additional buildings and units. There are two terrain types: buildings can only be constructed on stone, while the Spice is only found on sand. However, units moving on sand attract the large sandworms of Dune, who are virtually indestructible and can swallow even large units whole. As levels progress, new and more advanced buildings and units are made available, including structures like a radar station, a repair facility or defense turrets and, for units, various ground troops, light vehicles and tanks. Each House can construct one unique special unit, and, after building a palace improvement, can unleash a unique palace effect.
