Pacific Rift was arguably the BEST in the series IMHO in terms of graphics, setting, soundtrack, content, and multiplayer. This game right here would look absolutely AMAZING at 4K60 FPS or at the very least 1080P60 FPS. I remember playing some multiplayer games here. This game was very fun but also challenging once you started getting up there in the end game races, I remember there was this one race where all of your Opps were in monster trucks, and you were forced to use a motorcycle (absolute crazy work there lmao). This game on GOG if the multiplayer servers were somehow revived would absolutely slap for the motor storm community and newcomers who have never played these games before.
I would play this game every chance I got when I was a kid. I would play this game all the time by myself or with my brother. This game is literally my childhood.
Easily one of the best and underrated offroad racing games Sony and Evolution studios ever produced. The tracks, the Hawaiian scenery, and iconic vehicles all make this game a masterpiece that was adored by fans but not by Sony. If Sony remastered this or any game in the series, i bet you a million dollars it would give Gran Turismo a run for its money. Let alone Concord 😭

As close to an objective improvement as a sequel can get. The core identity of Motorstorm is kept completely intact, even with an entirely new locale, more nuanced boost mechanics and the inclusion of an additional vehicle class. Perhaps the most underappreciated addition this game brought, however, was being able to customize the entire field of racers for each race in single player. 1 bike versus 15 big rigs on a track that favours the latter was but the tip of the iceberg in experimentation. There were so many different scenarios you could create for fun, or to challenge yourself. Handling was much improved over the original too, as well as split routes within the tracks, so every vehicle class has a reasonable chance of winning. A thumping licensed soundtrack and challenging AI cemented Pacific Rift as one of my fondest gaming memories, never mind racing games.

Lotus III: The Ultimate Challenge
Lotus III: The Ultimate ChallengeThe third game in the series combined the gameplay aspects of its predecessors, allowing players to choose between racing opponents of Lotus Turbo Challenge or the arcade-like time trials of Lotus 2. The two-player option was retained and the music selection feature returns (Patrick Phelan's soundtrack to Lotus III spawned many modern remixes). Lotus III also added a third car - a concept Lotus M200 automobile - and allowed the player to choose which one to race with. The game recycled most of the graphics from Lotus 2, but added a number of new sceneries.

Top Gear 2
Top Gear 2This third-person racing game resembles Gremlin's earlier Lotus series, in terms of its general look and feel, right down to the text font used in the game. Your task is to race through 16 countries, each of which features four races, with many real-world circuits recreated in incongruous locations (such as the Monza layout in Ayers Rock, and the old Hockenheim in Vancouver). These four-race blocks each represent their own mini-championship, in which you race against 19 cars, needing to finish in the top 10 to continue, and with the top 6 scoring points 10-6-4-3-2-1, and the respective amount of money in thousands. This can be spent on various upgrades, ranging from engine to tires (wet and dry) and from shocks (front, side and rear) to gearboxes. The ideal approach is to buy the more expensive versions ASAP, as you get no saving when upgrading. If you win the four-race championship, you get the next password. You get a set amount of nitro boost to use during each race, although bonus nitros, money and instant speed-up token appear on many tracks. Hazards such as puddles, barriers and ramps are also frequent.

Grand Prix Circuit
Grand Prix CircuitFormula One racing is recreated in detail in this simulation. You have the choice to drive a Ferrari 187/88C, a McLaren MP4/4 or a Williams FW12, each with different qualities. Rival drivers also have their own styles and strengths, and to win the World Championship you will have to master these. Pitstop timing and planning is crucial as well, although only tires are changed in late-1980s F1. You can choose whether to drive a single race at Brazil, Britain, Monaco, (Western) Germany [Hockenheim], Canada, Italy, Detroit and Japan [Suzuka] or to drive a full championship on every track. Every Race includes a qualifying round. The graphics in the game are sprite-based.
