I grew up on this game. Maybe it's not a masterpiece, just an hour of fun, but it deserves to be preserved. And hopefully someone will come up with a mod support in the future

Would love to be able to own this one! Played this a long time ago at a YMCA when I was a kid, at a computer lab they had there for us to play games on. I would pick this one a lot, along with some other games, but this one stuck with me for the longest! And it's the only game that didn't get re-released! If this gets put on GOG, I'll be as happy as I can be to be able to play it again!

This game was just a fun time, with great tracks, music, power-ups and characters. Games like this deserve to be preserved, no need to think too hard just a fun little racing game

That was the golden era of LEGO before all the licensing crap. You had some nice original characters here like Captain Redbeard, Rocket Racer and more, who also appear in some other games during that era. But now this game; You can build your own minfigure and then it's racing kart. It's pretty fun! Also the tracks were nice, I love the atmosphere most of these tracks have. The items system is also pretty nice and unique. This game has pretty much all the basics of a kart racer and certainly has some ideas of it's own. I heard it had a DRM that barely worked so this is another reason to bring it to GoG.

I need this game to come back. The ability to build your own race car, brick by brick, was the wildest and coolest feature to me as a kid. I never beat it since I didn't own a memory card for the N64, so hopefully one day I can play it again officially!

It was one of my childhood game that I played a lot at my nephew and home too. Also Rocket Racer was one of my favourite Lego character that I played against and with it in the whole game.

This was the first computer game I was allowed to play...well technically, I did play Bob the Builder before :D My older brother installed it for me. I have many nostalgic feelings towards it.

Another Lego game I grew up with as a kid and while it is admittedly more linear than it's predecessor it did have a memorable soundtrack and some fun mini-games.

A really fun racing game I played back on my brother's old Windows 98 computer from a long time ago. Unfortunately, running it on a modern PC today is a pain. You need both an alternate installer to run it without the CD-ROM (because who uses physical PC games nowadays?), and you need both dgVoodoo and the LR1 Launcher in order to get it to run smoothly at 60fps AND at the resolution of your monitor (in my case, 1440p). Also, you need to edit some things on the .exe file with a hex editor in order to get it to work on the aspect ratio you want. It's also a pain to play on TV in Big Picture Mode or remotely with something like Moonlight, since I have to use the LR1 Launcher to open it. Also, installing it isn't easy. I had to go through trial and error and find a tutorial on YouTube to get it to work properly. It's easier to emulate the PS1 version on DuckStation or even the N64 version. With the PS1 version on DuckStation, I can overclock it to run at 60fps. The N64 version on emulators using the GLideN64 plugin runs it at an uncapped framerate (I use Rosalie's Mupen GUI in this case). That said, I still prefer the PC version since it was the one I grew up playing with. But if GOG got the rights to this game, playing it would be so, SO much easier!

Oh what a fun game this was! This game was my first introduction to racing games, and was effectively my version of Mario Kart. I recall being bad at taking turns in the beginning, but I definitely got better over time. Seeing the different levels, Lego characters, weapons, even when you hit a racer and they'd pop in the air - good times. I also remember that during my first day in summer school, I was introduced to the summer school program with my mother (because I did poorly at school that year apparently). The teacher then informed me that I was allowed to go home early, or spend the remainder of the day at school so it would count as one school-day completed (I'd finish the program early). I chose to go home, and when I did, I played Lego Racers to cope with what I had to endure for the next two months. This game & its sequel would be wonderful to have on GOG. I could even show this game to my nieces, and tell them the same story!
