I played the game decades after its original release, but I still loved the genuine feeling of panic I got when faced with a giant ant, armed with a flimsy pistol!
It Came From The Desert is a gem in many ways, despite its quirks. The vague unease that permeates through the setting is what sold me on it, and the non-linear, multiple solutions approach to the gameplay is what kept me interested. It's hard to find similar experiences nowadays, and that's a shame in my opinion.
