This was my de-stress game back when I was doing my degree. Later when my best friend had to take a year out for back surgery, we would use the play by mail option to play against each other.
I'd love to be able to give the developers some money for the 30+ years I've been playing this game and I'd love to have a copy that was more official.
Fighting ForceFighting Force players control one of four characters. They move through urban and science fiction environments, battling waves of oncoming enemies with weapons ranging from fists and bottles to knives, chairs and guns. The player can make some choices as to which territory to travel through.
The four characters have various reasons for taking on Dr. Zeng, a criminal mastermind with an army at his command. The action starts with a police cordon around Zeng's office skyscraper, moving to such locales as a shopping mall, subway and Coast Guard base before finally ending at the top of Zeng's island headquarters.Action
Patrician III: Rise of the HansePatrician III is a real-time trading simulation featuring elements of construction and the historical background of maritime trade in Northern Europe during the 1300's.
As a resident of a medieval town, your goal is to rise from the status of a simple, insignificant trader to that of a Patrician and perhaps even become the head of the Hanseatic League. You can raise your standing through town improvement and diplomacy or fill your coffers through piracy and smuggling.
Deception IV: The Nightmare PrincessThe Nightmare Princess introduces the new character Valgyrie, who is able to set traps as well as directly attack enemies by kicking. The player can deal damage to an enemy by stomping on them after they have fallen to the ground, or kick them into traps.
Modes
The main feature of the game is called the Quest Mode, which features 100 new quests to complete. In it, the player plays as Valgyrie, and is able to obtain new traps and abilities.
The game will also include an option titled Deception Studio, which allows players to create their own characters, enemies, and missions. Parts for Deception Studio can be acquired by playing Quest Mode.Action Horror
Silent HunterSilent Hunter is a World War II U.S. Fleet Submarine Combat Simulator. As a commander of a U.S. submarine in the Pacific Theatre, from Pearl Harbor to the end of the war, you have a variety of submarines from which to choose and your task is simple, sink as much enemy tonnage as possible. One can play historical missions, hypothetical encounters or the career based campaign game. There are 9 patrol zones,from the Solomons to the Sea of Japan, and many coastal cities, ports and harbors to sneak into on either recon missions or to just sink ships tied up in port. As commander you may receive medals or commendations after especially successful or hazardous missions.
