Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna

When I first played Dungeon Siege as a kid, I accidentally played through the entire Legends of Aranna expansion pack before playing the original Kingdom of Ehb storyline. Because of that wee mistake, LOA holds far more nostalgia for me than the main campaign. lol
I've heard that there are issues surrounding this expansion pack's ownership/copyright(?), but that's honestly what makes Legends of Aranna a great pick for GOG's preservation project. It would be such a shame for all this additional content to remain in legal purgatory forever. All I know for sure is that I'd paid good money for LOA, were it available here on GOG.
I really enjoyed the base game and never got the chance to get the expansion, which is supposed to be good.
I want this on GOG because I think you might be able to untangle the rights issues the expansion has, so all the people like me who never got to play it, can.
I was a kid when I played this. I remember even now making bands with other kids playing outside and mimicking the story, monsters and gameplay of DS. Back then I had the demo version and somehow managed to get the full one a little later, so my desires were beyond met. Even now I wish to find games like this or Legacy of Kain, but it really seems like gaming took another turn as it progressed, so the 90s and early 2000s kids are left with gems like this to come back to once in a while.
