Story:Dead or Alive 4 is a fighting game and the fourth major title in the Dead or Alive video game series, its plot following the events of the 2001 title Dead or Alive 3. Dead or Alive 4 features 22 playable characters and many multi-tiered and interactive fighting arenas. DOA4 has a number of updates in reference to previous titles. Characters' move lists have been vastly updated and four new characters have been added to the fighting roster, with returns from a couple of past characters as well. The counter system has been tightened, making the window for counters shorter and more difficult to execute, and the amount of damage that counters inflict has been changed.Show more

One of my favourite games of all time. From Aerosmith opening with 'Eat The Rich,' to the final scene with the DOATEC towers coming down to the tune of 'Amazing,' and everything in-between, this game is perfection. The graphics look gorgeous to this day nearly 20 years later, the gameplay is fast, fluid and responsive, and right now, it's one of the few games that keeps my old XBox 360 plugged in. The difficulty is fine-tuned, to the point where the boss Alpha-152 makes you want to pull your hairs out in the best ways, there's a wealth of fun extra modes, and really, it deserves a PC port for the native 4K graphics options. It was a platinum seller back in the day, and it stands a chance to really shine again.
To answer that question as quickly as possible, I'll ignore the intrinsic qualities of the series since the first opus, with which you're all very familiar: charismatic characters, charming damsels, intuitive counter technique, explosive arenas and high-resolution Arcade graphics.

Emulating this is a pain and I personally would really like an official release of this game!!! Please make it happen!! Games such as these gems deserve to be preserved and made playable on modern hardware!

This game and DOA3 NEED to come back. The duo is PERFECTION when it comes to fighting games. They're trapped into Xbox systems and many players were never able to enjoy them. I would buy it day one if it appeared on GOG, and would buy copies for all my friends. Make it happen, GOG!
Those games also need your vote!

Dark Earth
Dark EarthDark Earth is a post-apocalyptic action-adventure game for the PC. Dark Earth takes place several centuries in the future, when a meteor collision with Earth tossed up great clouds of dust that blocked out the sun. Earth's remaining survivors began to seek refuge beneath small openings in the clouds, the few places light could be found. Those that remained in the 'dark earth' were hunted by strange creatures, infected with the darkness. To shelter themselves from the dangerous 'dark earth', the people began to form cities beneath the light called 'Stallites'. At the time of the game, most of the citizens of the stallite have forgotten their history and now worship the light as a god. The stalites are run by 'Sun Priests', who maintain order and prevent the creatures of darkness from harming the city. The game follows the story of Arkhan, a "guardian of fire", protector of the stallite 'Sparta' and the Sun Priests. After an attack on the sun priests, Arkhan has a poison thrown into his face that begins to infect him with the dark sickness. He begins to mutate into a creature of the dark and has to find a cure before his transformation is complete. Along the way, he is treated as an enemy by most of his former friends while he struggles to uncover the conspiracy behind the attack.

Samurai Shodown 64: Warriors Rage
Samurai Shodown 64: Warriors RageSamurai Shodown 64: Warriors Rage is a 3D fighting game produced by SNK for the Hyper Neo Geo 64 system It's the sixth game in Samurai Shodown series and the eighth in the official chronology (tenth if considered the non-canonical games). It is the followup to the original Samurai Shodown 64 on the same platform, and like its predecessor, it received relatively no distribution outside of Japan. It should not be confused with Samurai Shodown: Warriors Rage, which is an entirely different game. In order to avoid confusion, some sources refer this game as Samurai Shodown 64 II.

Samurai Shodown VI
Samurai Shodown VIAmong other series changes, aerial blocking was removed entirely, and the switch-around move, which enabled a player to shift quickly behind the other's back, as well as the dodge (evade, side-step), in which the move virtually brings a semi-3D environment to the defense in attempt to use each sword more effectively. One can no longer charge one's own "pow" gauge. The off-screen delivery man was omitted entirely from the game. The "CD combo" was added, wherein a player can press the C and D buttons together, triggering a strike that can be followed up by a sequence of button taps. SNK also added a "suicide" move, wherein one's character forfeits the round. The bonus to this is that the one committing suicide will start the next round with a full "POW" gauge. Certain finishes also enable a "fatality" move in the vein of Mortal Kombat.

Samurai Shodown 64
Samurai Shodown 64Samurai Shodown 64 is a 3D fighting game produced by SNK for the Hyper Neo Geo 64 system in 1997. It is the fifth game in Samurai Shodown series and the seventh of the official chronology. It was SNK's first attempt to bring one of their franchises into the 3D realm. It received relatively no distribution outside of Japan, and is thus not very well known. After having released two semi-prequels in the Samurai Shodown series on the 16-bit Neo Geo, SNK announced that they would be producing a new arcade hardware platform, this one 64-bit and with extensive 3D capabilities.
