Story:Dead or Alive 4 is a fighting game and the fourth major title in the Dead or Alive video game series, its plot following the events of the 2001 title Dead or Alive 3. Dead or Alive 4 features 22 playable characters and many multi-tiered and interactive fighting arenas. DOA4 has a number of updates in reference to previous titles. Characters' move lists have been vastly updated and four new characters have been added to the fighting roster, with returns from a couple of past characters as well. The counter system has been tightened, making the window for counters shorter and more difficult to execute, and the amount of damage that counters inflict has been changed.Show more

One of my favourite games of all time. From Aerosmith opening with 'Eat The Rich,' to the final scene with the DOATEC towers coming down to the tune of 'Amazing,' and everything in-between, this game is perfection. The graphics look gorgeous to this day nearly 20 years later, the gameplay is fast, fluid and responsive, and right now, it's one of the few games that keeps my old XBox 360 plugged in. The difficulty is fine-tuned, to the point where the boss Alpha-152 makes you want to pull your hairs out in the best ways, there's a wealth of fun extra modes, and really, it deserves a PC port for the native 4K graphics options. It was a platinum seller back in the day, and it stands a chance to really shine again.
To answer that question as quickly as possible, I'll ignore the intrinsic qualities of the series since the first opus, with which you're all very familiar: charismatic characters, charming damsels, intuitive counter technique, explosive arenas and high-resolution Arcade graphics.

This game is more or less like classic Castlevania games as players collect sub-weapons, hearts, power-ups and make progress in separated stages. The game has its beautiful original sprites, graphics and remixed music from various Castlevania titles, presented in a familiar yet fresh way.
