When I was a kid my parents bought the household an Atari 800 computer. It was quite nice for the time. I got Zork, and my parents loved that it made you read and use actual directions to get around. They bought every Infocom game that came out. This was one of my favorites. You needed the books that were included in the packaging to find your longitude and latitude for the dive. When to dive, and what to bring. Were you scuba or deep, and how to escape the traitor. Really fun game.
