Conflict Global Terror / Storm was the last 'real' Conflict type game with 4 playable characters doing almost the impossible to stop the bad guys, whoever they might be. It was also the first time the campaign took the player around the world, and not just one set piece. On the highest difficulty, the game can be unforgiving, and it will not hold your hand. A mission run could end just because you told your team to follow you around the corner where a tank was waiting.
Out of all the Conflict Series games on PC, this is the only one that has coop multiplayer, making it unique in that sense. Since the game has not been publicly sold, the multiplayer is almost non-existent. A special group of diehard fans have been trying to keep it alive and its admirable. Hopefully, this game can be revived so we can play it with friends.
Damals auf PS2 rauf & runter gespielt.. Mal Taktisch schleichend, mal einfach alles umgeballert, was sich bewegt hat.. Solide Rahmenhandlung, gute Sounds und Grafik, Steuerung durchdacht.. Recht Umfangreich und abwechslungsreich. Vor allem mit Freunden an einer Konsole war das Game unfassbar nice. Leider vermisst man das Spiel heutzutage sehr, da es nirgends verkauft wird. Die Vorgänger sind leider zu sehr in die Jahre gekommen (Grafik, Steuerung usw) und der einzige Nachfolger ist leider unfassbar schlecht. Ein Must Have der PS2 Zeit.
This game was the best back in the day, when you could play online trough gamespy, when it was active. Managed to complete most of the game silently which was challenging and took some time to clear everything without a wrong decision, had few friends at that time who knew what to do same as me. This was 1 of my childhood favorites, used to play combined with xfire, had many hours, and i think i had the max rank on this game. And i would love to play this on GOG, maybe if its possible GOG could bring back servers for online play. This is a 9/10 game for me.

Front Mission 4In the year 2096, the Wanzer ("Walking Tanks" mecha) form the backbone of many military forces. During a routine patrol, Sgt. Darril and his patrol witness a cargo plane being shot down. Heading to investigate, they soon discover it was a plane carrying part of Diaz's gold. Front Mission 4 is a turn based strategy game where the plot switches between two different theaters of operation: Elsa and Darril. Controlling the wanzer forces of either character, the story progresses simultaneously. Most battles take place on an overhead map divided into a Player phase and an Enemy phase. Typically a wanzer can move once and use his remaining Action Points (AP) to fire on the enemy or use an ability. Success in battle earns Experience Points, which are traded in for new abilities, such as Rapid Fire or Evasion bonuses. Each character has a set limit of Skill slots, which are filled up differently by abilities. While each character starts with a preference in skills, there is no limitation on what any pilot can learn. Money, found during on the map (along with items) or earned after a successful battle, can be used to upgrade wanzers and purchase new weapons.Science fiction

Finishing his day's tasks he is asked by his best friend Ryogo to help with a company delivery to the Japanese Defense Force (JDF) military based. This simple choice determines where Kazuki is when strange things begin happening in Japan. A large explosion, a wanzer theft, his sister Alysia being hunted, rumors of a powerful weapon, and accusations of involvement by agents of both the OCU and the USN all make the situation more complicated. Kazuki is swept up in a plot of conflicting loyalties and attacked by various factions.
