Bakugan Battle Brawlers

Bakugan Battle Brawlers (2009)

by NOW Production, Activision
Genres:Strategy, Card & Board Game
Themes:Action, Fantasy
Game modes:Single player, Multiplayer, Split screen
Story:One day the player's character meets Dan Kuso, one of the Battle Brawlers, who teaches him the rules in a fight against Shuji. (you get a Serpenoid, a Juggernoid, and a Saurus that match the attribute you chose at the start of the game). After going to the local store and meeting Alice, who suggests the player should battle with other brawlers in the park to earn BP (Bakugan Points, the game's currency) a strange Bakugan called Leonidas falls from the sky, who is now the new best friend of the player. (Leonidas' attribute depends on what attribute you chose). Leonidas is an unknown and aggressive Bakugan that was created by all the hate and anger of the lost Bakugan trapped in the Doom Dimension. In several fights the player will meet a lot of people but at the same time a Darkus user, whose name is Marduk, decides to rule over all Bakugan together with Vladitor, another Bakugan that suddenly appears. Right after Naga got the Silent Core, the seals that held Vladitor captive in the Doom Dimension suddenly broke and he escaped from the Doom Dimension. At the end of a tournament when Dan makes the player an official Bakugan Battle Brawler, Marduk is revealed to have allied with Hal G, Masquerade and Naga in order to defeat the Battle Brawlers and rule over the worlds and the Bakugan. The player must win the Ultimate Battle Tournament, defeating also Dan, Runo, Marucho, Julie, Shun, Masquerade, and a 1-on-1 showdown with Omega Leonidas and Battle Axe Vladitor. After the player wins, both Vladitor and Leonidas disappear, saying they have only little power left after the brawl. Later, the player discovers that Vladitor gave Leonidas his remaining power, saying he deserved it, leaving Leonidas to assume that Vladitor "wasn't all bad". The game ends with the player throwing Leonidas in the air shouting, "Bakugan brawl!".Show more

Hundreds of hours of my childhood. Hundreds of hours of my adult hood. My passion for this game runs deep and my love for this series everlasting. I remember getting absolutely crushed by the mid game Marduk fight for days until one day after school I finally nailed him after some grinding and strat swapping. It felt better than any souls game I’ve beaten.

This game is so special to me because it was the given to me on Christmas on the DS and I had so much hours on it and replayed it multiple times on different platforms The PS3, Wii, and the DS and I wish that this game could be playable again through legal means. The Game aged like fine wine with the graphics looking like it came out only a few years ago. Gameplay is easy and fun to learn, and they brought back the original VAs from the show to play their roles again. The Story acts like a whole episode to the show which is great.

First time I got it was for DS with the special White Naga toy which I loved and later on I got it on the Wii too, the game is fun even today with a lot of the bakugan and cards you can have a lot of variety of play without being limited to just one playstyle and Leonidas is an iconic Bakugan in the fandom, so iconic that years later we got 3 physical versions of him so we can finally play with him irl though hopefully one day we do ger his original forms from the game

The first Bakugan video game was so epic. Triumphing over Marduk was one of the best moments ever. They absolutely nailed it with the soundtrack for each arena. There's so much potential this game could get with mod support. Imagine being able to change Leonidas' attribute at will or maxing out every stat for the ball form. Maybe even being able to pick which crystal effect and ability cards to use from the ones collected on the field. I would still be perfectly happy with a proper PC port. It should have the Wii exclusive Bakugan too.

Black & White 2
Black & White 2In the game, the player takes the role of a god called from the void (nothingness) to help those who invoked them. However, the player is not an omnipotent style god, but rather a god who rises and falls with his believers and the player must help develop their nature according to their good or evil desires. The player also has a creature, their physical representation in the world, which takes the form of an anthropomorphic ape, lion, wolf, turtle, cow, or tiger. Its physical manifestation can grow to an immense size, and adopt a good or evil persona separate of the player's. They develop their character as the player rewards or punishes their actions. In addition to the god simulation and city-building elements introduced in the original Black & White, Black & White 2 also features elements of real-time strategy gameplay, with the addition of controllable warfare and fighting units.

As the player progresses, his troops are equipped with weapons from "crysknives" to atomics, tap into Paul's latent psychic powers, and get acquainted with such characters from the book as Chani and Liet-Kynes.

Dune II: The Building of a Dynasty
Dune II: The Building of a DynastyDune II is often considered the first mainstream modern real-time strategy game and established many conventions of the genre. Even though set in Frank Herbert's famous Dune universe, the game is only loosely connected to the plot of any of the books or the films based from them. Controlling either of the three Houses, the player must fight a number of battles against the other Houses. In the early levels, the goal is simply to earn a certain number of credits, while in the later missions, all enemies must be destroyed. The single resource in the game is the Spice, which must be collected by harvesters. The spice is converted to credits in a refinery, which are then spent to construct additional buildings and units. There are two terrain types: buildings can only be constructed on stone, while the Spice is only found on sand. However, units moving on sand attract the large sandworms of Dune, who are virtually indestructible and can swallow even large units whole. As levels progress, new and more advanced buildings and units are made available, including structures like a radar station, a repair facility or defense turrets and, for units, various ground troops, light vehicles and tanks. Each House can construct one unique special unit, and, after building a palace improvement, can unleash a unique palace effect.
