Choose from six different fictional skaters with varying degrees of strength and weakness. For a tough and versatile skater, choose Axl or for a more balanced skater take Kahli on your mission. Each skater features their own skating and clothing style.
Although each skater offers a different and varying skill level, their mission objectives are the same. Each player starts off as a wanna-be amateur skater with no sponsor or street credibility. Your goal is to turn your skater into the Thrasher Magazine Skater of the Year.

Supercross CircuitEach rider comes equipped with real bikes and equipment from the SuperCross Circuit. Once you've selected a biker and his gear you can go onto one of the 21 authentic SuperCross and MotoCross tracks, or hit one of the "local" tracks. Each course is littered with jumps, bumps, spills, and thrills. Why don't you try and catch some big air off one of the jumps? The crowd will go nuts! You don't just have to go for a big jump either, as the game features 15 different tricks that can be pulled off, such as "nac-nacs" and heel clickers.
Now that you know what the game features, look what you can do for competition. You can enter a Career mode, a Two-Player Season Competition, or just go and have a Free Ride for big air and lots of tricks. During your Season modes, you'll go to all of the courses in the game, including twisting courses like Bank One Ballpark. Another feature in the game is the Track Editor. From here you can create a completely original track of your own design that begs for skill to be used, or throw caution to the wind with full-fledged hills and jumps all the way.
Cool Boarders 4Cool Boarders 4 features 16 real-life professional snowboarders ranging from 13 year-old prodigy Shaun White to veterans such as Noah Salasnek and living-legend Jim Rippey. Players also have the ability to custom-create a rider by selecting a body, choosing brand name attire and gear, and customizing any available board to your liking. Players can choose among 34 boards from Burton, Forum, K2, MLY, M3, Salomon, Ride, Morrow and Santa Cruz.
There are over 30 new courses spread out over five authentic mountains that are filled with steep cliffs, drops, jumps, rails and various obstacles. Cool Boarders 4 also features Dirty Hands by hard rock artist, Outer Circle. Food can be picked from bushes, hunted from animals, fished from the sea, or farmed. Stone is located in limited deposits, and wood, cut from trees, is generally scattered throughout a map. Battles can occur on both land and sea.
The story takes place in a parallel dimension, where prehistoric life thrives alongside diverse human civilizations that are not technologically advanced. As a result, dinosaurs take the place of traditional wildlife and livestock, though some of the dinosaurs in-game are highly stylized and not necessarily scientifically accurate. Wild-living dinosaurs can be hunted for food, though some are of dangerous and aggressive species and will attack any player unit that wanders too close. Other prehistoric creatures make an appearance as well, for example woolly mammoths are used where other games might feature elephants.
