What have we learned since our previous Insomnia Promo events?

For all of you who had been with us for some time now, this Insomnia Promo we hold this year is probably not the first one. Our previous takes on it were… let’s use the word “eventful" ;) Here’s what we have learned from them!

1. Some games just run out too darn quickly

Before 2016, Insomnia Promos had a bit different mechanics than now. Unlike today, the deal on the certain game didn’t end after an established number of hours – it lasted until all the discounted copies of the game ran dry. That meant that games like Don’t Starve or The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings disappeared in seconds.
That’s why this year, to give everyone a fighting chance, Insomnia deals change periodically and their numbers are somewhat larger. At least for now.

2. Reviews don’t lie – Jack Keane 2: The Fire Within is a great game

During the 2014 Fall Insomnia event, people were wondering for almost 4 hours if they were even worthy of buying such a gem. After that our forum was flooded with positive reviews (5 stars each!) from people who claimed that Jack Keane 2: The Fire Within simply changed their lives. “JACK IS LOVE! JACK IS LIFE” stated our users, “The Keaning is happening” wrote others.
After such a reception, the game sold in no time. Of course, during this Insomnia Promo, we also have some hidden gems for you to discover. ;)

3. Caffeine is a tricky thing

It’s hard to stay up late, 24/7, just to wait for the next great gaming offer. While it’s tempting to drink liters of coffee to do so, the reality is, that drinking more than 4 cups per day is simply a waste.
The caffeine effects simply don’t add up. That's why it’s better to sip the next cup of coffee after a few hours when the boost from the previous one wears off.
We still have a few surprises up our sleeves until the end of the Summer Sale on GOG, so stay vigilant for more great deals.
