Backing this. Solid work is done here.
I'm down with this one. I scoured the internet and watched a few videos showcasing the gameplay, and I like what I saw. Releases like this are why I play PC games. I just started playing it, and I'm really enjoying it. Can't wait for further development. I bought Doom 3 BFG here, but didn't get a chance to replay it (own the original disc from early days also). Retchid is a treat. If this was the early 2000's and I bought this in Best Buy, I'd put it on the shelf right next to Genesis One, System Shock Remake, Several potential future roadmap updates come to mind after digesting what I've seen with the gameplay: 1. Crouch needs to have a toggle ON/OFF option in Controls menu 2. Ability to find an NPC companion to battle enemies with until it dies (hidden find or reward from saving said NPC 3. Work on the animations and "heaviness" of the weapon fire and ballistics 4. The flashlight needs better (slight) ambient lighting that bounces across large rooms. Also, the shine effects on metallic walls when pointing the flashlight--it disappears off of the wall at a very short unrealistic distance. 5. The charged shot of the first weapon you get does not have any physics effects when shooting at dead things laying around. Boring--give it some punch. It one-shot kills and decapitates heads at close range, right?? :) You might have an opportunity to create a "Half-Life 2 crowbar" satisfying effect with this one. 6. Some of the doors might be a bit too rythmic with their "broken smash bang-bang-bang oopsie electronics". Make the noise a little more sporatic, tiny bit slower pace. It will keep those passing moments with the erie ambience from being thrown off too far. Thank you, From Beneath Software. #longlivevideogames #longliverocknroll
