While it’s developed by only a single person, Grzegorz Styczeń of Slavic Magic, the whole gaming community awaits this historical strategy game published by the beloved Hooded Horse – we’re talking, of course, about Manor Lords, now out on GOG, with a -25% launch discount until May 10th, 1 PM UTC!

The idea of experiencing the life of a medieval lord, growing our starting village into a bustling city, managing resources and production chains, and expanding our lands through conquest – it’s all almost too good to be true! Inspired by the art and architecture of late 14th century Franconia, Manor Lords also prioritizes historical accuracy wherever possible, using it to inform gameplay mechanics and visuals alike. Common medieval tropes are avoided in favor of historical accuracy, in order to make the world feel more authentic, colorful, and believable.

And now, we can finally put our hands on it – so check out Manor Lords, together with its Soundtrack and Artbook!

A fair price for a great game. Thank you Slavic Magic and Hooded Horse.
Probably the easiest buy I've made on GOG.

See you again in five to ten years, Manor Lords.
Noticed the InDev banner just now - oh well, might just treat as a pre-order then.
So, this is like Stronghold then? it looks decent.

Yeah. Is it actual release or some weird big announcement of a beta? I thought its actual release was yet in the future.

EDIT: it's InDev, not an actual release.

From the other big store (I can't write there cause I only use GOG).
But it makes me worried, I don't like forced graphical effects like vignette (or even worse, CA).

weird dark filter around the screen

Yes, I notice it too. Did you find out how to fix it?

It's a post processing effect called Vignette, not sure if theirs a way to disable it yet.

I wish I could turn this off. It makes me feel like I am looking through a tube.
If anyone here tried it out, please have a look in settings and see if you can get rid of this? :)
Dev is probably overwhelmed by hundreds of comments and questions now so don't think this will be highest priority for a while...

EDIT: Since it's Unreal Engine, it might be possible from editing Engine.ini.

Big news everywhere "Manor Lords is released". Fine print "early access". How much is available in the current state? I assume everything shown in the 2 videos can be done right now

That's selling point for me.
I wish people would stop using the term "EA game" when they refer to early access games. I was really puzzled by the reviews stating that this is their "favorite EA game".

To me "EA games" mean Ethnically Abundant games which have a good representation of different ethnicities like black, yellow, purple, green, blue and rainbow people. (Some may think of it also as Electronic Arts games, but "favorite EA game" is an oxymoron, like saying "favorite Ubisoft game" or even "favorite concentration camp", I guess)

Anyways, the reviews seem quite favorable, maybe even over the top with the constant "11 out of 10" reviews. Sounds like someone selling snake oil, but maybe I am overthinking it. Wishlisted for now, let's see if I'd buy it before the actual release.

Some review called it a Banished-like game.

I have no idea if Stronghold and Banished are similar games, so there you go. At least it is not a Settlers-like game, I hope!

Version number seems 0.795 so yeah....I'll wait.
It's definitely a EA game. Within 1 hour of playing I came across a bug that caused me to reload. Besides that the game is pretty fun to play.

I'll definitely consider this when it is finished. I abhor the concept of "releasing" unfinished games and charging your customer base to play test it.
