A gaming chair for the looks? If you can't buy a deluxe gaming chair for a couple of 100 euro's I doubt it matters much which you in the 70-100 range. I just went to Bol and looked at which ones had the best reviews and picked one. It's decent, but I don't expect it to last very long.

I would be skeptical of anything with "gaming" tacked on to it, it mostly means ugly design to appeal to kids and a higher price tag. If you want bang for the buck, go for a robust and priceworthy office chair.

I was going to mention this but since price is his main condition a proper office chair is completely out of the picture, those are even more expensive than the deluxe gaming chairs. Still waiting for an opportunity to get a cheap Herman Miller Mirra 2 somewhere

Ikea Markus gets mentioned a lot for a half-decent budget office chair, though it's nothing compared to an actual officechair.

I have one of those and for what it is it's really comfy with a nice high back and headrest. Yes, it's no pimped out Sedus black dot but then it also costs less than a sixth of the price of a Sedus...

Unless you expect to go through a lot of fast tight bends in your gaming sessions, something like the Markus is a way better choice than a "gaming chair".

I think the drive was ripped out of it's cradle and is leaning against the side of the case, still wired in.

Okay, yes, that too, but that PSU is still in the wrong place. This is not okay! This is against the laws of god, man and nature! Shit needs to be exorcised with fire!
I have a chair that hooks up to the power point XD it vibrates has many different vibrating patterns and armrests so I don't get gaming elbow which is a lot like tennis elbow from repetitive straining

What budget are we talking about?
There are shops that sell used office gear. Buy a chair from there. Say you find one with an ugly coffee stain on it and the price is maybe a mere €150 for a €750 chair with, if lucky, 80% of its lifetime left. Them buy 1-2 (used) pillow cases and cover the original fabric and you have something easily changable and washable that extends the lifetime of the chair by a good bit for minumum cost and effort.
