Why does activity / popularity matter so much to you? What if I say that Chess is the most popular game on GOG? Will you then suddenly start playing Chess because everyone else does? What about your own interests?

just ignore the troll.

Nah, I sense some deep misunderstanding here of what GOG actually is.

Maybe it helps to know what GOG definitely *not* is:
GOG is not an MMO (online multi-player) gaming site, where you register, select a lobby or community and then join one of the "active" games/ servers/ matches/ realms.

What GOG actually is for *most* of its users:
It's a digital shop. You are interested in single-player game X ? --> You register, you buy it, download it, install it, play it. Done.
Don't know what to play next? Use GOG's catalog to browse all available single player games, filter by category, genre, year, tags, price etc. Maybe you'll discover something that you'd like to play. Whether a game is popular/ trending/ actively played should not matter one bit in this process.

What? I'm not hostile, at all. Typing all that text above takes effort and good will, you know.
Was literally just asking questions back, don't have to get all snappy with me about the stuff.

I have to agree with g2222 on this matter...taking your query at face value and answering it directly would be a disservice. It would be unhelpful just to simply say which are the most popular games, and clarifying the matter would enable someone to better answer the underlying, latent issue.
For example, if you wished to know which single games are popular for the sake of conversing with others or asking for help on the forums, I would say popularity is irrelevent, as even games that people aren't actively playing, if someone shows interest in a title they spawn for the shadowy depths to provide assisstance.

King_Rumbles_32: What games are actively being played every with or without multiplayer on gog just curious as I’m wanting to try some with or without multiplayer and if I get ones with multiplayer what games are actively being played..
Cool kids at the school play Call of Duty: Futuristic Warfare 6 online, with the Platinum Edition subscription costing $150 per month.

So if you want to be accepted by the cool kids, that's the game you need to play, day in day out. Don't be left out, don't be an outcast. People will laugh at you, ridicule you, throw excrement at you (if they are chimpanzees) etc.

It appears the widdle baby needs a reminder of what "hostile" looks like.

Your question is worthless vapid dogshit. It's a tolerable disgrace enough that some games on GOG have working multiplayer, but the only decent people who engage with such features do so with friends via LAN. A key detail in Timppu's excellent mockery of your sub-civilized priorities is a parody version of a game that isn't sold here. Because this is the last store you should be concerned about until you're mature enough to not give a shit about popularity.

IMO, making too many threads that can be all answered in a single thread.

Besides Gwent, here's my list from Nov 2023 of games with crossplay, so you might be able to find people from Steam forums or their respective game communities to play together with others:

https://www.gog.com/forum/general/thread_for_all_crossstore_compatibility_games/post3

I know Trogallart organizes WC2 scrims every week too, worth checking out if you like that.
