Super! Din's Curse! I have completely forgotten about this one...

Torchlight? But, EVERYONE owns it, since way back, when it was gifted to every GOG user! I even got two free copies (older system which was instant and you could get multiple free copies instead of one) and barely managed to gift one!

Victor Vran. Grrr. No thanks. That online check thing for game bonus made me angry. Plus, no one guarantees me that the future DLC will be free, ergo, i remain negative towards it.

I was considering sacred. Next sale, i am totally getting the package.

Licurg and sacrifice, that combo is old. I will trust the pal and next discount on it, is mine.

Divinity? I got the entire oldies package, since mutator promo but never got around playing it. Isn't it more like a crossbreed between diablo and baldur gate gameplay...?

Grargar, pal! Thanks for reminding me of Darkstone, i had completely forgotten about this one! Revenant, i got already, Nox was praised by other people on other threads, great list, thanks!

I am preparing a good wishlist for autumn sale and random weekend packages! I am HUNGRY for more diablo, 2 LOD is still not enough for me! Plus i got dead bored and tired of farming hell areas in act 1...
- torchlight :) gog please bring nr 2 here
- victor vran
- van helsing series

what about bringing diablo series on gog at least 1 & 2 (i dont have high hopes for 3 because of blizzard)

If you want more Diablo, then have your tried D1 + Hellfire + The Hell? Or D2 + MedianXL or D2 + ZyEL?

Shame about Victor Vran. I myself was a bit miffed, however its not game content or anything and played the game through without need for anything else. Its good fun and well worth the price I payed. Same with Van Helsing, 1 and 2 are pretty good fun, nice environment/story, 3 wasnt that good in many ways - hopefully FInal Cut will sort that.

KiNgBrAdLeY7: Well, i was wondering if anyone can help lazy old me and cut me some slack, by recommending some high quality, diablo like games, here on GOG. By any means, NOT turn base, isometric if possible, real time and with emphasis on action-hack n slash.

What i know is "sacred" that is here and matches my interest. Any others like it? With emphasis on fast paced and action oriented?

Grargar: Well, aside Sacred 1+2, the following are Diablo-like games:

Darkstone
Depths of Peril
Din's Curse
Heretic Kingdoms: The Inquisition
Nox
Revenant
Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms
The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing
Torchlight
Revenant, When did this come out, I guess I was asleep at the switch.

Divine Divinity. Music in that game is just incredible. Just buy it.

Din's Curse is decent. I had fun with it for a while, but it didn't have staying power. It is very unique, though. You have to take care of your village and complete quests throughout multiple levels. Speed is important. You play a few levels, level up your character, then move to another village and do it all over again. It has a fair variety of enemies, but it grew stale for me faster some other games on the list.

Divine Divinity is not anything like BG. It is an open-world isometric action-RPG where you can move most or all objects in the world. So you can create barricades and bottle-neck points and strategically lure enemies through it. DD is a great game.

Sacred plays too fast for me. I never could get it to slow down to where it felt natural, but it may have been moving at the speed intended. It lacked anything that left me with a "wow."

Sacred 2 was really fun for quite a while. It was somehow addictive, but it did not have the depth of DD nor the uniqueness of Din's Curse.

Darkstone was the game I had the most fun with. It hasn't aged too well. Its controls are a bit cumbersome, the sound effects are a bit annoying, but I still go back to it time to time. It's just a really fun game for me. The spells are quite fun, werewolf-transformation is fun, stealing eggs from chicken's bums is fun, and it has pleasant music and a nice variety of quests through different playthroughs. Darkstone is far better to play with a friend. You'll need IPX wrappers to do that, though.

If you've never played Neverwinter Nights, stop reading and go play it.

Hertic Kingdoms was quite fun. I didn't finish it, but I had fun playing it. It has a neat gimmick where you can swap between the land of the living and the land of the dead. So you can talk with corpses and enemies you kill can sometimes get you in the land of the dead. It's worth getting at some point.

Nox is also very fun. It's gimmick involves only showing you what you can see. So you never know what's around the corner. It has some nice puzzles, good-feeling action and moves along nicely.

I didn't like Torchlight, but I probably didn't give it a fair enough chance. It felt very artificial to me somehow. It just didn't click right.

D1 + Hellfire? I have OVERBURNT it, since Hellfire day 1! Stopped playing it entirely 11 years ago... What a great expansion, real shame none of the Diablo Battlechests contained it! Traps, dual wield, running, it was a real treat! And all those new items!!!

The online-only thing was a one-time use cheat code that gave you access to some weapons faster. Since this was negatively received in the game's release thread, they decided to change this in the game's first patch so that you get the bonus items once/installation (and not just once) with no need for an online connection:

Patch 2.00 build 150728 (07-29-2015)

GOG bonus items - they are now given the first time the user walks into the hub, once per installation (not per in-game character), if they haven't already been given (e.g. via the old redeem mechanism).
Recipes are now displayed inside the Transmutation panel
Legendary outfit colorization is not removed when the Outfit's color is changed
Fixed a game freeze when using the mouse control
Fixed camera issue in the Mordra boss fight

Yes, but have your tried "The Hell" mod on top of all that?

Yes, unfortunately it's still left its mark though. As I mentioned I played through and didn't need those items or any connection etc. and don't think I had that patch. The game is good, and worth it.
