Original Sin 2 was on 4th place a few days ago. It even was number 1 for month. Today it not even reaches number 200. This sounds odd to me. Do you see it on your list?

Also interesting: For the first time the update has been delayed for a few days compared to the steam version.

-------------------------------

Edit: I´ve overlooked it on number 139. Still sounds strange. Maybe the charts aren´t updated every day.

Well, GOG works in mysterious ways, aka no one really knows how it works, not even GOG. O.o

140th now.

Best bet would be to contact GoG directly. Like almost all support forums, they're customer driven with usually little to no staff involvement.

I believe the front page "Popular" is based on a limited time period of data (maybe a month). There was a discount on that title which ended 20-Feb. My guess is that the sales from that promo finally dropped off the "Popular" counter for that game. That is why the front page is generally filled with games which are (or recently) on sale or just released here.
i don't think it follows a particularly reliable algorithm

After looking at it again I realised that only the divine-edition is in the charts. So i guess it´s a bug. Well, it´s not that
important anyway, but I wrote a quick mail to the support, just in case it matters for the publisher. Thanks for all the replies.
what we need is a bugs in gog chart...

I'd have to dig for the thread but someone a few days ago linked to one of the developers on Twitter where they displayed their sales figures and how they commented on how they get reports from here, Humble, and The Site That Must Not Be Named.

I noticed that only one version was listed. I had wondered if it had come off sale recently and/ or it was on sale elesewhere but couldn;t find any of either to support that.
It´s back on number 10 now and it´s not discounted. I guess it was just a bug. The game still sells great. :)

Are you looking at "popular" or "bestselling" sort order? "Sort by bestselling" is long-term (roughly the last year, according to past info from staff), while "Sort by popularity" seems to update much more frequently, but may also be based on things other than just sales (this is just a wild guess).

As a side note, the "Bestsellers" link under the "Store" dropdown on the nav menu leads, for some inexplicable reason, to the catalogue as sorted "by popularity" (which is now the default sort order anyway, and is functionally identical to simply clicking the "Store" header), rather than "by bestselling".
