etherdrifter War Wind was, like Warcraft II, a great innovator of its times and its ressurection would be a worthwhile investment.
merdna Yup, indeed. War Wind had some great features widely unappreciated by the gamers of its time. I still got the original CD, but it is almost impossible to get this to run on a modern OS.
Would instantly buy if I could play it again.

Ricaroo0 yeah would love to see both of these on here. cinematics were awesome. gameplay was addictive. havent played the second game but i definitely would if i had a working version.
userrr3 I remember playing this when I was younger... dug out the CD today to install it, sadly not possible :(

Copying over the install from my old harddrive resulted after some compatibility-settings (Win95, 640x480, no visual designs) in a nice menu screen, where only multiplayer and exit button are clickable :(
Anyone know a solution?

Sævius Brand rights must be for Ubisoft now, I think they won't want much for such an odd freak game (they can't see this gem through, blind moneybags)...
Sævius Great RTS, atmospheric and mystical, good graphics, excellent soundtrack, slightly hard to master but intriguing and involving... Contemporary Warcraft 2 seems real underdog for these brilliant but underestimated titles!
magicalsavant I would absolutely love to get this game! I played it at a friend's house over a weekend and was enthralled by the multi-faction system. To me, it was quite a bit different than other RTS games of the time.
F4LL0UT Got both War Wind games from a German game compilation but unfortunately the CD of WW2 was damaged somehow so I never got far into it. But I loved it as far as I got and I actually preferred playing the humans (introduced in WW2) over the original factions. Observing the military being stranded in this weird universe - awesome!
DecemberMan Only played the demo, but I remember it fondly.
Ignoramus I played the demo version as a kid, and damn did it pull me in. Too bad there was 0% chance of finding the full game in any of the local stores.
