Undertale completed
Woohoo! Even comes included with the soundtrack in the game folder even if it is not labelled neatly for dropping into a music library.
It's here now. :)
dont bring this crap
Man, is this game overrated. Regardless, if I ever decide to play it I'd like a gog version without DRM crap.
We need
Pony Island made its way to GOG before Undertale. I'm kind of baffled, I was pretty sure that we wouldn't ever get the former, and that the latter was a shoehorn for GOG's catalogue... Is there really any serious obstacle to releasing Undertale here? :(
C'mon gog team, why it's not out here yet?! :(
Still waiting for this game to appear here. There are other DRM options to purchase it if it doesn't show up here soon, but I'd like to have it in my GOG library. :)
Why isn't this here?! This game is AWESOME!
I already own this DRM free, but I will buy it again on GOG the moment it becomes available here.
dont bring this crap here
While i personally am not interested in the game, i think it would fit the GoG.com library quite well.
I'm honestly surprised Undertale hasn't been added yet. More often than not, games like it usually don't take too long after Steam to appear here.
I have confirmed with Steam Wiki: Undertale's Steam release is DRM-free, so if you can't wait for it to release on GoG and have a Steam account, just buy it there for now. I plan on doing that, and if it does come to GoG, I'll gladly buy it a second time here on principle.
PS - the game is becoming popular because it is an amusing and immersive rpg which you can play a couple of different approaches.
Sounds great. I avoid and dislike steam for multiple reasons. I will wait for it to come to gog, or forego it entirely. I wrote to the developer tobyfox to request he consider gog for distribution.
For those not wanting to wait a possible GOG release: the humble widget on their site allows to buy it drm free and with a key, uniquely priced in dollars.
So many youtubers which like recommended this game that now I really want to try it. From what I see it would be a good match with GOG so I will not buy from Steam. Waiting...
Why not email the developer? There's an email on the Undertale site, and it gets checked often enough. Toby himself responded directly to me before in a question I had about the demo running so poorly. (It's not optimized at all, unlike the final game.)
He's pretty active on Twitter too. If you guys want Undertale on GoG, there's no harm in (gently) asking him to consider submitting the game to this site.
I may end up buying this on steam. I'd rather play it before I run into spoilers.
I'd even pay full price for this if it came here.
Kinda surprised it isn't already on GOG. This has getting a lot of GOTY buzz.
You know, this is one I'd like to see on GOG, and I don't think 900 is 'too niche'.
C'mon ! Waiting to play from GOG !
I want to play Undertale so bad! Please, get it on here ASAP! Thanks!
Everyone: Buy it on Steam, play it, love it, then buy it again if/when GOG gets it. Don't wait. This game is a beautiful experience.
GOG, you are missing out on something very, very special here. Get on it. Now.
@stevethepocket Humble is an ok option for now, but this game seems well worth of space in my virtual GOG's shelf, preferably full of bonus goodies.
The game's official website already has a DRM-free purchase option; I think it uses the Humble Store applet. So if that's all you wanted...
Personally I think if GOG wants to court this developer they should throw in a recommendation for a Linux port. Of all the games to not get one yet, this one baffles me.
It'd be cool to have it on GOG. I keep hearing many great things from this game, but I absolutely refuse to buy it on Steam.
If GOG doesn't get this game I'm gonna have a bad time.
@NuffCatnip Ah yeah to each their own :)!
I'm wondering why a small title with such a huge popularity like Undertale isn't on as many markets as possible. Gog is a perfect choice IMO.
Id eventually get around to buying this I have a pretty extensive wish list so I wouldn't say itd be 1 but definitely top 10 hopefully by the time I get to its imaginary order gog will have added it already
@Dray2k: And another Fanboy I see...
This game is good, but its not the best game ever made, its not not even close to that title...
Seems weird to me that this game isn't on GOG already, if it was i would buy it right now. Only other option is Steam, but i would rather support the developer on GOG.
This could be an interesting little addition to GOG, for sure. I was even thinking about buying it on Steam, but if it came to GOG, that would raise the chances even further. We shall see how this goes.
A possibile motto for this game should be: "looks can be deciving". This game is quite literally the best video game ever made and thats not even from the nostalgia standpoint. Like it or not, this game has to be the most unique experience I had from several thousand games. Including all time console classics such as Chrono Trigger and games on PC such as Homeworld.
An interesting mix of Shoot em up, Role Playing, Dating Simulation and The Stanley Parable (it is its own genre!). Think of it as a rotten apple with gold in it, thats probably what the developer wanted it to be, and it fooled the player the very best way possible.
If you haven't bought it already, you probably read somewhere about the massive influx of possive scores on Metacritic regarding this game (around 97 percent). I believe that the number is very well deserved, yet the score should've still been higher as this game is really what made GTA San Andreas and Half Life 2 such "milestone" games during their respective release. Well, consider this game several HL2's and GTA's.
The praise of the entire gaming world (with a handful of exeptions) is very well justified. You have to try this game as soon as you can, DRM free or not to see for yourself.
We need this. WE NEED IT. Send your mail to the devs to show some love! undertale.com/contact.htm
I would like to purchase this game myself from GOG rather than Steam, but eventually if it does not show up here...I will have to buy directly from the developer.
Voted, want to play it, but I'd rather DRM free
Allll my friends are playing this game, I've even had threats to have it gifted to me on Steam if I don't get it soon. C'moooon GOG! I want it on heeere!
retro-aesthetic JRPGs don't usually grab my attention these days, but this one looks worth checking out!
Just released yesterday on Steam and DRM-Free on Humble Bundle. I would love to add this intriguing game to my GOG shelf.
This game deserves way more attention. Best described as a mix between Earthbound & Shin Megami Tensei.
