Caleceus I'm sure if it was up to GOG they'd add it in a heartbeat but sadly it's not up to them it's up to EA and with the reputation they have I honestly don't think it will ever happen. There would need to be a lot of money involved and EA probably won't ever see it as being profitable enough.

NiX12 NGL it would be dope to have it on GOG but there is also no point really.
The game is abandonware and thus its easy to find it online, for example there is ultimate collection on the internet archive.
As for compatibility with windows 10/11, i am currently playing it on W11 and it runs fine, its very easy to run on ur native res with no problems if you use program called "graphics rules maker"

Oniren I want this so bad. I'm at the end of my rope trying to get one of the Sims 2 UC games floating around to work on my computer. I've watched and read countless tutorials on different fixes and nothing will stop it from crashing my entire computer to the point I have to shut the power off. GOG could fix this up and have a strong audience.
no00ob Please, the game is borderline unplayable and not available anywhere else. This is a valid way to get it working on most modern systems with great stability if you have the ultimate collection.

zombi3freak99 The sims 2 is one of my all time favorite simulation games. It's not longer sold on origin so there aren't many options to buy this game anywhere. Unless for incredibly expensive. So I think The Sims 2 would be an outstanding add!
ptalene I would love to have Sims 2, or Sims 2 Ultimate collection or some combination of Sims 2 and the various EPs that came out for it available for purchase. I play Sims2Ulitmate edition on Origin, but it's not totally compatible with Win10. An update would be worth money to me.
trev0r2 There's no convenient way to purchase The Sims 2 anymore. Seems like a perfect fit for GOG. I've never had the chance to play this game, so a complete edition with all the expansions would be a really compelling offer.

TheLiterateWolf I miss this game so much, please add it to GOG! I have the Ultimate Collection, but can't get it to work for the life of me, in spite of trying a multitude of fixes. It shouldn't have to be this difficult to play a game that I adore.
djevvy I think The Sims 2 would make an amazing addition to GOG's library, the only digital version available to buy at the time of writing this is the App Store version for Mac and that version doesn't even come with most of the expansion and stuff packs!

oskar.artur This game has aged really gracefully. Despite its age, it still looks nice due to its artstyle, and a lot of its elements can be easily tweaked with mods. Especially that it still has a very active and thriving modding community who has not abandoned the game despite it not being available in online game stores.

FREE6GAMES A legendary game made by a legendary VG designer. I have access to the original game and its expacs (with some cousin visits) and able to play it. But the more I play it the more I crave The Sims 2. It would be amazing if 1, 2 was aviable on GoG becaus EA doesn't seem to care about there older titles but only buy the new (mostly inferior) stuffs.

Foory_Fighter I love the game and still occasionally play it on my old Windows 7 Laptop (which has very weak hardware and is just overall very slow). I would love to play it on Windows 10. I wouldn't mind paying for the entire game again as long as I can play it on my normal gaming hardware <3

Hexamancer As an older child, I used to play The Sims 2 a lot, and let me tell you, I had a lot of fun building various weird houses, families, and neighborhoods.
While it was still the newest thing, I obtained CD copies of The Sims 2 Deluxe and five other expansions. Most as gifts from my parents.
I'm aware EA games once offered the game from 2014 to 2018. However, I wasn't internet savvy at the time, so I never got it. When I found out, I was really annoyed I missed the opportunity.
For nostalgia reasons, I really want a legitimate way of obtaining a functional, complete version of The Sims 2, even if it would mean paying for it again.
NewYorkNerd It would be very nice to have a version of this game that instantly works upon install. I've tried to get the retail CD version to work on Windows 10, which it hasn't, and even the Origin release crashes when trying to enter a neighborhood.

ScaryRob I too own all the discs and am playing the game on my Win7 computer, but Win10 is beckoning and I'm not looking forward to possibly not being able to play Sims 2.

ClassicCustoms2010 I own Disc versions of the base game, every expansion pack, plus Mansions and Gardens. I think I'm safe in saying I'd be willing to pay more if it meant I could just download the full game, expansion packs and everything, legally, without jumping through a million hoops just to install the game and get it to work correctly on Windows 10.
hadron17 I already own the CD version of almost all The Sims 2 EPs and SPs, however when I move to a new computer, it takes a reaaaally long time to install all of them, one by one. And now most laptops don't have the CD drive, so it gets more complicated. I could really use a digital, legal copy - and that's a thing which I cannot buy anywhere on the internet. Plus the installation process, even if it would have lasted an hour, would be a lot smoother than it is now. Needless to say, I love the game and still play it since I was a child.
1of1 Playing Sims2 either with Origin or from disci s such a pain in the ass. It's neither working with Windows 7, 8 or 10 properly. Whenever I try to start it, I have to go through at least 30 minuts of trial and error with deactivating all mods, enabling the 4GB-patch, setting the graphic rules from scratch or just plain witchcaraft. It's a whole mess.
So whenever GOG would introduce a stable version of sims2 it would be an immediate buy for me just to save my nerves. It is such a awesome game but the whole instability mess is really destroying it. So please: MAKE SIMS2 GREAT AGAIN!

SeraphimSephiroth The fact that we have to do SO MANY work-arounds just to get this game playing on new systems makes it such a headache that most give up after the first couple of crashes. This game is so unstable it's practically legendary. Please, please help people to play this game properly!
