The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall completed
(sorry, not ANY Bethesda game, but ones from the first or second "batch" of Bethesda games released here, like Morrowind, Doom, Fallout, etc.)
Buy any Bethesda game, and Arena and Daggerfall will be added to your account for free. These games do not have their own game pages in the store, however.
Daggerfall is available, but not on its own. You get it (and Arena) as an Extra when purchasing any Bethesda title:

Would love an update on this matter? Am interested in Daggerfall.
Completed? It's not on the store
"This wish is completed"
I don't see it in the store.
Was hoping to try a classic for the first time, Daggerfall; and was shocked that it's not even on GOG. How does that happen? C'mon GOG, you guys can do it. Get Jazz Jackrabbit on here as well while your a it.
Where is the store page for this game?
Buy any Bethesda game, and "The Elder Scrolls: Arena and The Elder Scrolls Chapter II: Daggerfall will be added to your GOG.com account for free..." :)
Well being free doesn't necessarily mean it's free to redistribute, it's not open-source. Though I have definitely seen it hosted on other sites, just a question whether they were technically allowed to or not.
I would love the first 2 TES games to be on GoG yeah its freeware now, but I love going through GoG as they include more like wallpapers and such to go along and sure that they release a copy that is a bit better set up with dosbox configured and some other helpful tweaks
Since the game is already free, it shouldn't be hard, or am I wrong?
Voted, and I hope if they add it they'll redesign the control scheme, at least in part.
But then again, referring to my previous comment, even if Bethesda has some exclusivity deal with Steam. Why should they care regardless about putting Arena and Daggerfall on here? It's freeware.
Honestly, it seems Bethesda and Steam have some sort of romance going on, making Bethesda games exclusive to Steam. This seems to be the reason why Fallout 1&2 was taken off.
It's already free on the official elder scrolls website, along with Arena.
www.elderscrolls.com/daggerfall/
There's no sense for it to be on here. There's already sites that have installers already set up for this game.
@Shmacky-McNuts: It's possible they changed it between when you and I downloaded it.
Either way, I'd much rather have it here since, as is, it's in a similar state to the Betrayal at Krondor download Sierra used to have... they can revoke the right to download it for free at any time and then I'd have to use pirated copies as my offsite backup.
You sure? Mine has talking people and FMV...and it is big. Plus it was the same size the CD versio I own 2 copies of....you catch their servers on a bad day? >_>
@Shmacky-McNuts: The Bethesda download is the floppy version, not the CD version.
Free from Beth and you use DOSBox free also. Whats so hard bout mounting a fake cd drive in DOSBox? You don't even need to emulate a system drive just google the process t mount it in DB lol
Just use wiwiki.wiwiland.net/index.php?title=Daggerfall_:_DaggerfallSetup_EN linked earlier. The full game with exacs and fixes, DRM-free and running on modern OS's. It's not like you have a profile page to show off to anyone here on GOG where/how you installed it...
@cptmold
I think I was able to install the DOS Version on my old Win98 machine.
Arena wasn't working, though.
I'm not sure what that means. Are there different versions anyway?
tfnc, there might not be any preinstalled version of the game, but I did put a guide for setting it up in the Steam Community Hub for Morrowind.
A rerelease would be nice. Hopefully we can get the actual Win95 version working instead of a DOSBox.
Well I mean I know the games already free but I'd pay 6$ (or even 10$!) for a nice installer that has dosbox already setup etc.
5 days now i have sent a contact message to GOG and asked for Arena and Daggerfall, gonna do this every day for a year
How many votes dose this damn classic of epicness need ! comon GOG get your %&/( to gather !
I'm curious; what is the reason the earlier Elder Scrolls games aren't on here? I thought with the resurgence of popularity thanks to Skyrim people would want to play them?
Is it a matter of rights? Bethesda wont allow GOG to host/release a copy? Is it a matter of popularity? Not enough GOGers want it? Is it a matter of bugginess? The games are too big and buggy to work on?
GOG, where is this game?
If you want, you can show support for a GOG release on the Bethesda forum - forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1502630-please-bring-the-fallout-games-bethesdid-games-to-gogcom/
So we all know it is available for free. Just release the first two games on here for free to get people's attention.
My idea of a dream would be: a modernized "Daggerfall" version for Win7, Win8, Linux, Mac and with less bugs compared to the last official patch (2.13).

Adding Elders Scrolls Arena and Daggerfall in optimized, customizable, pre-configured, stable version without bugs could be a sufficient reason for many to join Gog! The existence of working version in the web is yet another reason to prepare such version --- as after all, this undertaking might not be that difficult for the developers.
Isn't there a free version on Bethesda site? I've installed it already for free, and it works nice.
But haleisback already posted a link to the installer so you don't have to wrestle with DOSbox. Pretty sure it's already optimized pretty well.
i can only sign the words of previous speaker of kodyschhh ...
Would love to be able to play without having to wrestle with DOSbox
The first and second games of the saga are freeware at the developers web btw. There's a download link there.
I love this game it's actually recorded to be one of the biggest open world games ever created
This should be Arena, not Daggerfalll
Yes. Please let me buy games on GoG that I can already download for free legally elsewhere.
Bethesda are making a new package with all of the ES games in it. Look it up, they announced it at QuakeCon 2013, possibly even earlier.
Arena is already free (Elder Scrolls I) but requires DB to run.
Daggerfall is the ES2
Daggerfall is Elder Scrolls II, not I. Also, duplicate of www.gog.com/wishlist/games/the_elder_scrolls_ii_daggerfall and www.gog.com/wishlist/games/elder_scrolls_arena_daggerfall_redguard_battlespire
I think a group is independently making an engine (XL - xlengine.com/downloads/ ) that should let you play the game on newer hardware. Since the game is freeware now (Released by Bethesda officially a while back) might just wait for them to complete the engine.
Although I recall melee in Daggerfall was annoying to get going right.
theres also another wish for daggerfall already.
theelderscrolls.wiwiland.net/?title=Daggerfall_:_DaggerfallSetup_EN
thats a link to daggerfall with an installer.
