In short: it's not that easy, but they want to do it and will do it eventually.
OldMcLembus McMillen really cares about the community, adding mod support to an already great game and trying to rid the game from bugs. I'm sure he would understand that some people greatly prefer to buy from the most ethical source, ideally from the creators website themself.
I would GREATLY enjoy the gaming getting to GOG.
I will always remember how thanks to DRM-free games RimWorld spread within my circle of friends and we had a really great time thanks to the RimWorld people offering their game free of DRM.
Even though I was the person who bought it everyone else bought it themselves once they got infused by it. I see a great future in drm-free games.
Besides, DRM is not very effective. No matter what game, type the name of the game and add the word "pirated version" to the query and you will have the pirated version on release day no matter what. So I guess DRM not only limits the popularity of the game it also doesn't prevent fraud in its intended way.
I really like the TBOI franchise and I'm looking forward to TBOI Rebirth on GOG.
I'm not sure if a lot of people think about it but I think it's really cool from the Dwarf Fortress Developer to donate the source code to a museum upon his passing. This really grants a game a second chance in my opinion.

I don't know if Edmund McMillen does see this wishlist, but a post on his Twitter it's any chance that he can see it.
WickedKinetic I am missing this indie for my game collection. I hope Edmund McMillen knows that a lot of fans of his would give anything to see the rest of his games here. Fingers crossed!

I'd gived a try, but one random user are nothing. And how can you be sure that Edmund surerly can see this whishlist? I don't know about it.
But if you write to him a PM, or on twitter(or something directly him) then he surerly will can see this.
And if many of you will do it, then - maybe - perhaps that will make him think about it, or at least answer why he hasn't released this game for GOG / DRM-Free yet and possibly when he will. So if you care about this game so much, do it. I don't think GOG himself will be able to do everything for us.

echosa This game is pretty much the only reason I still use Steam. Would love to see it (and Afterbirth/Afterbirth+) on GOG! Bonus points for being on GOG Connect. Even more bonus points if my saves can transfer! As for the suggestion for Gungeon: I agree. It's a great game, too!
Sebatrox If you're still waiting for Isaac on GOG, go and buy Enter the Gungeon. The game is amazing and silimar to TBoI.

Mygaffer There are still some developers who don't want to release DRM free versions. The crazy thing is I could link you to TPB search results with tons of cracked copies of Binding of Isaac Rebirth, so I don't know what good they think the DRM does them.

A: as of now, Steam, Ps4 and Vita.. but the rest arent out of the question. we would love to release on all systems, the ball is in their courts though. we miiiiight also test the game out on ipad and see how it works, if it works ok then we will also release there.
